Nor does it have to directly correspond to being some alternative gender. People threw a fit over the gendered Kris mod, and wanted it completely removed, along with anyone who used it to be shamed. Even the modding community started some kind of strike because of it, with that one launcher getting delayed because of it. Honestly, I don’t care what people call a fictional character at the end of the day, but I just wish people would stop having meltdowns over one thing, and give passes to something else that is equally noncanon. Papyrus is actually overpowered and not a gag character because Flowey wraps him in more vines - and not because he has a long hourglass shaped sprite.

Rouxls Kaard is secretly a facet of Gaster, as is Sans and Papyrus, as well as any hypothetical or existent skeleton character.

Alphys is a lesbian despite the physical and very obvious evidence she has the hots for King Asgore and only got the position she did by impressing him out of amorous attraction to anyone's ability to kick her ass.

Kris is secretly the Roaring Knight, even after Ch 3 and Ch 4.

Noelle is secretly trans because of the presence of antlers, despite the fact Reindeers (F) and (M) do in fact both grow antlers.

And you draw the line at randos whose opinions don't fucking matter?

You are actively making yourself mad on purpose by caring about the thoughts and takes of those you will never know or care to get to know.
