A thread without a bump or replies will go straight to page 10 and fall off the catalog in just a couple of hours. On other boards this takes 5 or 6 hours, some half a day, and others a full day. What makes it that way? Is there any solution to it?
>>77697043>What makes it that way?an influx of tourist shit over the years and spergs making a niche general of a niche general whenever someone slightly deviates from their taste
>>77697043Sexo with this creature
>>77697097Recent example of this would be the /doe/ retards making 2-3 more generals because a couple posters didn't want to see a specific character.
>>77698715Was that really absolutely necessary?
>>77697043/v/ is about the same, maybe slightly faster. Can't say the same for others, these are the only two boards I visit.
>>77699581/v/ is so fast it's unusable, why do you even go there?
>>77699647Probably spend about 30 minutes a week just shitposting in random threads if I'm bored. Its usually entertaining. But I've been there enough to notice threads dying insanely fast.
>>77699545of course not, in the same vein as having 3 /beta/ treads still up and not even reaching bump limit becouse nobody is really sure what is about aside trolling
>>77699692Isn't /beta/ some weird Discord roleplay that has been going on for years?
>>77700705Probably.
>>77699545Deltarune fans are the bronies of the 2020s, anon.
Just a lot of very-specific-fetish generals competing with each other in a limited space. A combination of slow generals with dedicated users not letting them die and high-churn generals eating up free slots. Non-generals usually get single-digit posts and fall off.
>>77699581>>77699647/v/ is... more like wider social media. 99% of threads drop to and through page 10 with no attention and 1% of threads get a lot of attention for a small period of time. most people post to either achieve or be a part of their 5 seconds of fame
>>77703058Is /v/ the Twitter of 4chan?
>>77704198yesEver since Gamergate /v/ has been a sanctum for kids and social media users too edgy for their followers/friend circles, it's why two-thirds of the board at any given moment is inside-baseball about random Twitter posts
>>77697043who is the character in that pic they're hotactual answer is there's a shitton of unnecessary threads fighting for board space when they could fit into other boards. now I dont want to say trash should be exclusively for furry content, but there's quite a few generals that fit themes entire other boards are out there for.>aspiring vtubers thread exists when there's a whole board for vtubers>cuteboy general exists when there's an entire board for cute/male content and a yaoi board for the porn>(anime or video game) porn general like one piece coom, persona slutposting, etc all have a whole hentai board or several other porn boards to go toetc. in that sense it's so to say off topic to post non off topic (allowed on other boards) things here but there's no way to moderate them away.there's also literally several raceplay threads being spamed and small variations of them constantly in here, but because we're in a garbage bin there's no moderation to stop those. if everyone wants their own general and slight variations of them, everyone fights for bumps on limited catalogue space, and we end up with more generals than a catalogues thread limit can even hold. every damn thread gets remade so its like every remade general is constantly permanently a taken slot on the catalogue gone.
>>77704911>big tits generallike my god, I don't know what happens in other boards that these people come here of all places. there's like 4 boards to post that on
>>77705020>there's like 4 boards to post that onSuch as?
>>77704911The numerous "slutposting" generals are /v/irgins whose lust-provoking image threads were deleted one too many times>>77706197/h/ and /aco/ for 2D, /s/ and /hc/ for 3D
>>77697043Made for cute sex.
>>77697043whos this sexy stud>>77698715also drawthreads splintering because there is some suspicious spam if title contains the keyword
>>77697043That is your problem, thinking a couple of hours is fast. No, that is average for an active board.
>>77697043I'm not familiar with this experiment.
>>77711951Anime original.
4chan's lifespan is not just a story of poorly aging social media but the transition from high-functioning autism at it's start to low-functioning ipad kids at it's present. So many fingers to point, so much blame to lay.
>>77712556I don't think 4chan ITSELF aged, cause almost nothing changed about the design and interface.
>>77712588It's a perspective thing.
>>77712675I agree. Just keep trying perspectives, until you find the one where you are objectively correct.
>>77704911>there's also literally several raceplay threads being spamed and small variations of them constantly in here, but because we're in a garbage bin there's no moderation to stop those.True but those threads are not threads at all. There is no discussion, it's just resources for making BBC spam for other threads and requests to turn images into BBC spam images. It's like a liberal party that only talks about crashing other public events.
>>77712737Not the anon you replied to, but this really triggered some core memories. Not even about BBC spammers, but something more general. The moment a thread becomes image spam is a sign that no one is having a conversation. All the participants at that point are organic bots, and will make the site better if they leave and never come back.
>>77712230Stitch had an anime?
>>77713728Because nihonjin really saisuki'd it. Premise is retarded, being Lilo grows up and no longer has time for HER BEST FRIEND. So Stitch goes to Okinawa where she befriends Lilo's replacement. About half of the original cast act very strange, since the anime's writers did not know what "in-character" means. The only good things that came from the anime were>generally good animation>some cool looking new experiment designs>lots of Angel and Reuben merchandise
>>77713811*daisuki'dAwkward attempt at saying "they really riked it".
>>77713811>>77713845Can you explain it in English please
>>77713811Wow, so even Japan can ruin things...
>>77716620Did they really?
>>77716620No they can't.
