It looks like an aliased brush with (possibly adjusted for pen pressure) density. Looks similar to the dry acrylic strokes I've seen on custom packs like DAUB.

hi, guy who made a few ptg sprite edits forever ago here. i’m still kicking. sorry to whoever asked for that edit of ptg with a surfboard forever ago, it didn’t come to pass. been incredibly busy.

Besides that there was also another teaser for the Gimmiko and PT crossover, showing that Pizzahead isn't just one of Mary Sue's husbands. Tramp (who's next to the Janitor) got attention here for obvious reasons.

Basinga said that at least two of the hidden characters are remix classes. It's difficult to hide them behind a keybind without triggering client command flood, and disabling sv_limitcommands outside of beta builds of Zandronum can be very risky. But he claims to have been inspired by QCDE or a similar mod for that feature, so maybe there is a better way to integrate the remixes without scattering them amongst the main roster.

And this approach just raises more questions. Has PIG been axed entirely, reworked into Tower Guy himself, or is the devteam concealing him for whatever reason?

That makes much more sense, seeing as Annie doesn't appear to have much control at all. I also forgot that Cray tends to have friends join their streams and provide commentary during a speedrun or general playthrough. Maybe one day they'll do a tour of the game's various stages up until release the way they did with PT.
