The only entity to allude to his eye color to my recollection is the Shadow Mantle boss, who can "see in the dark", which can also mean it can see things others can't; no one else had ever made any comment that suggests his eye color nor implied whether or not they're unusual. To hide them from us too would throw us off as to how much influence we have over Kris as well, so his haircut could be a tactical move on his part.A hole in this is that they can flash red when we're outside Kris, notable example being the end of Chapter 1, but luckily someone pointing out that Noelle's eyes turned a faint pink just as we're about to apply the ThornRing on her on her couch put this right back in viable territory. A degree of our influence is enough for this effect to manifest, even if we're not in direct possession, and the deeper someone is afflicted by it, the greater the symptoms.His eyes could also just be red, there's nothing wrong with that, but I think this could work too, and would better align with Noelle's eyes changing ever so slightly.
