Is there an inpainting guide on how to add smaller details to a gen? Like, I can paint a black stripe over a neck to try and gen a collar, inpaint over the black stripe, and then add collar to the prompt to get a collar on there.. but since its a small detail it really lacks definition.I swear I see some of you guys inpaint micro-sized characters onto existing gens with significantly finer detail than the overall image. How do you do that?

>>77839127I assume you're using some variant of the webUI, so you need to use the "inpaint masked only" option so that SD uses the entire resolution to inpaint the image instead of making it just giving it like 64x64 pixels to work with. Just make sure you make the area big enough area so the model has enough context to understand what it's looking at and doesn't start hallucinating.

Anyone know how to fix small details always being messed up? Backgrounds and most things are great, then the eyes will be messed up. This is with realmondai-sdg. I also have similar problems with chroma. settings issue? prompt issue? Messing with settings seems to make it worse. Increasing steps doesn't fix it either.

The only thing I would add is that you can repeatedly denoise the image at some low value like 0.2-0.3 several times over if a higher denoise is killing the pattern and a single pass at a lower denoise isn't blending. If the pattern is super specific, you might want to consider making a few dozen simple gens that you inpaint the pattern onto and training a LoRA on them so SD at least gets in the general ballpark before you start inpainting.
