>>78078905man i fucking wish i had a 5 hours to draw everyday
>>78085610that kid is also like 18 or something. Probably has alot less life commitments and more free time, as well as being pretty talented, so comparing yourself will only bring you dread and demotivate you. Take it from an anon that's now 33, you'll get over the comparison stuff soon. Just focus on how you can make your current time frame more efficient.
>>78085871yeah its not really jealously, ive been drawing for like 5 years and do like it, its just envy in wishing i could get more time to consistently do it (within reason: it wouldnt be smart to drop my job for it). guy better appreciate it as long as he can
>>78085871This. Getting a job helps a lot with time efficiency.
>>78085568Sure, here is my latest thing, does anyone has a tutorial on how to draw armpit hair or something?
Newest Looner drawing. Anything I should change/fix?
jacket is so ass ill just redraw it
Sorta hit a weird shallow plateau lately, where I get up to the end of or a little after a sketch phrase before getting obsessed with smoothing out lines instead of redrawing them and then losing motivation to continue further, either starting a new drawing or tuning out of drawing for days/weeks. No proper refined linework usually, including inner detail lines for anatomy and physical features (creature in pic isn't exactly smooth all over) even when I know what they are, much less shading/color which I'm no good at due to lack of progress.Feels like I'm actually regressing instead of improving, and as much as I puzzle about it it's getting more difficult to project what I need to do or even comprehend that, if that makes sense.Dunno if it's a lack of knowhow/reading thing or mood/diet thing or what.
>>78089838For comparison, this is the closest to a "finished" pic I've got that I can remember. It has it's own problems but it's clearly a ways ahead, yet it's still more given up on then found satisfactory. Dated back in Jan, and the stuff after it declined in quality.
all the art that I made last nighthttps://litter.catbox.moe/j0ws5f.pnghttps://litter.catbox.moe/ppld3a.pnghttps://litter.catbox.moe/wyqyoz.pnghttps://litter.catbox.moe/u1f0aw.pnghttps://litter.catbox.moe/ze8c59.pngI would like some feedback on the first one if possible because it's probably the most realistic anatomy I've attempted doing without reference
Live
Practice to lineart with hard round, i sure need to get a bit better at anatomy
>>78089439damn that’s hotone thing i could add is have you tried to dabble with bounce light for this? mainly from the place under the thigh
>>78094244A little bit, but now that you mention it I can do a little more.
>>78094244Also blurred the background, I think it's good now
Must find a better way to pose her right arm. But so far i'm happy with the rest
>>78096107Just one thing that could be improved.
>>78096107That arm is gargantuan
>>78095574w-wait, where did the swimsuit go??horizon would be the most blurred since it’s the furthest
fuck it, i’m counting the time spent recompiling gimp as drawing time. so much drawing today!
More hard round doodles>>78096549>w-wait, where did the swimsuit go??I eat it
>>78096549How much more should it be blurred?

>>78096278Yes. I was drawing Decidueyes arms as wings before i changed them to fingers. I'm still unsure if i should go for the wings again.
>>78100266point is, it should be the most blurred at the horizon, and that depends on how big of an aperture you want to show. for a well lit scene it could technically be basically a pinhole, but that wouldn’t be as prettyi made an edit, tried using a dedicated focus blur tool after cropping out loona to another layer. pic rel is more faithful to what you chose and this is a bit more cranked up https://files.catbox.moe/7ymb2l.jpegwell, there is one caveat. with very different brightness elements the blur could be overpowered by bokeh, in which case horizon looking sharp could make sense
Progress is slow, but I stay the course
Don't have to wake up early this time.
Not sure if page ten is a bad or good sign, might mean more people are busy drawing then talking about drawing...

>>78096967i WILL domesticate her
>>78102236Does that software do tweens or are you doing that just frame to frame?
>>78112534Be careful, anon. She likes to bite
>>78089838>>78089919i have a very similar problem. what occasionally helped was restricting palette to 2-5 colors and focusing on filling shapes or hard shading rather than on linework
How do I make my drawings sexier? I wanna drawfag better.

is there any guide on how to draw vein-like patterns?
Been kinda stuck on like this level for a bit, any tips n tricks or advice on what I should try and focus on for a while? I'll take anything im just feeling pretty directionless atm.
>>78123714Start doing more ambitious pieces that incorporate colors, rendering, backgrounds, interacting characters, etc.
>>78120910Your stuff already looks pretty good, i think you can learn a bit of anatomy to add more depth>>78123714Use more lines of action and try other proportions
this is more tedious than i thought it would be
>>78104096Five more days to go.
>>78124723>learn a bit of anatomy to add more depthWould that make it sexier? I'll try, but I also just wanted to know why my drawings didn't seem as evocative as I'd like.
>>78129348You have pretty cartoony style that makes them feel childish which is not a bad thing. Proportions and clean lines make them doog but more anatomy can be next step/key, so it always worth a try
Good*
>>78130669Ah man, I really don't want to study anatomy. Could I just substitute that with studying/doing copies of art I find good/ erotic?
>>78131779NTA but look for artists with appealing cartoony lewd styles to you, if you're trying to make the current stuff more erotic without changing it much
>>78114590That's hot.
>>78131779>I really don't want to study anatomy.>wants to make drawings 'sexier'Not that you won't get anything from looking at other artists' work, but you really should study from photo references as well. If you can get into a local life drawing class that'd be better.
>>78136267There's so much sexy stuff out there that's not based on human anatomy at all tho.
>>78137166humans and other animals are similarbut whatever, do what you will
>>78137264this graphic is kinda trippy
>>78137264I was talking moreso about robots, mechs and abstract concepts like spheres, symbols and whatnot, but this counts too ig.I feel like it'd be best to study perspective, shapes and maybe lighting.
>>78131779It's actually okay if you first want your drawings to look satisfactory to you, without putting too much effort on boring stuff like learning anatomy. It's just that you're only delaying the inevitable to run into a wall later if you want to get better at it.Also you'll probably have to put more effort into each drawing to copy things you've understudied than to draw something you've mastered at a basic level. So it's a worthwhile investment of time either way.
>>78139856>I feel like it'd be best to study perspective, shapes and maybe lighting. All those are a given when drawing, but they want sex appeal, and for that you need to understand some anatomy basics. You don't have to get into the nitty-gritty of muscle names and groups, just understand the general shapes of the human body. You can only get so far with lore-accurate Kerfus.
>>78112561I avoid using tweens in wick editor because they suck and bug out sometimesfor example I made these without using tweens at allhttps://litter.catbox.moe/0pzr8r.mp4https://litter.catbox.moe/8vb9qr.mp4I basically do every frame manually (and edit them outside of the program if I need to)

Another doodle I kinda liked
Don't usually draw human.
i love artists!
Ugh, I need to stop being so lazy and unmotivated. I must at least finish the lineart today. Maybe I'm just worried too much about it looking like crap>>78149949nice, saving this one
wake up!
Finally, lineart doneAnyone else get stuck in their head while drawing, like thinking thoughts about being a piece of shit and a failure? Maybe I need to listen to audiobooks while drawing
feeling unmedicated as fuark today
Some more lineart practice. I think i should be more close to sketch
I'm finally drawing again bros... I could cry...
>>78172413
>draw oc>it's really similar to that one character that you saw before/you find out other oc that looks really close your one
Its been a bit but here's a recent delivery ft. Alphys in a bikini. I tried to *mostly* work in binary this time which was quite fun even if the BG might be a little all over the place. It was nice to draw a chubbier gal for a change.>>78151850Shy girls are best girls. Her one eye is lovely and overall this set looks solid. I'm digging the new textures you're using with these and I think your expressions are improving too between this one and your remake set of images. Glad to see you keeping at it.>>78166761It used to be utterly crippling but this is the first year I haven't been totally shut down by it. Usually having a video or something going on the side helped but then it became an issue of losing my focus to watch whatever I played in the background. >>78170521Finding one's desired lineart style is a bitch but in my opinion I think you'd do well with some thicker lines to showcase her plumpness like in your sketch.
Any comments on this? Feel like i really pushed myself, best one yet.
>>78173541It's marvelous!
>>78170521Fix her legs shape for a bit>>78172844Agreed, thanks and nice pic>>78173541Blog?
>>78166761>Anyone else get stuck in their head while drawing, like thinking thoughts about being a piece of shit and a failure? Maybe I need to listen to audiobooks while drawingCan't say I do, since I'm usually too focused on planning the drawing out to let my mind wander. But then, I don't remember the last time I drew for an extended period without any music or speech in the background. Once one gets to the stage where one is just refining/inking the lines and other fairly mindless tasks, I can see how there'd be room to unwittingly ruminate on one's life choices to a self-destructive degree. But, if you want to try out audio distractions, here's how I recommend doing it; stick to music (preferably instrumental or songs you're so familiar with that the lyrics won't distract you) for the early parts of the process (gesture and basic construction) as that requires a lot of brainpower and having to follow someone's speech while you're at it will slow you down a little. It can be done, however, since the parts of the brain that handle visual processing and language processing don't overlap too much, but multitasking always slows things down, even when circumstances are optimal. Once you get to the more rote phases of the process, you can safely switch to audiobooks/podcasts/whathaveyou without much of a sacrifice in efficiency.>>78172844>but then it became an issue of losing my focus to watch whatever I played in the background. It's best to stick to content that doesn't have a visual component for this sort of thing, for obvious reasons. Glancing at the other monitor occasionally when something of particular relevance to what's being discussed is on screen is safe enough, but any more than that is going to be a problem. Try listening to audiobooks of some literary classics for a safe bet, since those usually have no visual component and you'll be expanding your conventional wisdom by leaps and bounds while you're at it.
>>78172425Fantastic facial expressions. Love it!
doodles I did for dandy threadhttps://litter.catbox.moe/f34m2o.png
so how do you guys feel about the draw a box courses?
>>78177304i think boxes are a scam. my personal opinion though
>>78177304>>78177525Yeah, the box grind at the start is largely unnecessary if you've grasped the concept of how perspective works for it within the first few drawings. It's only really useful for improving line confidence, but any type of drawing will do for that. The concepts in later stages are useful to learn, though, so skip ahead when the boxes get boring.
>>78177580the way they explained perspective is a bit confusing and I barely got that all lines go towards an invisible vanishing point and that they aren't parallel to each other. Still it's a bit hard envisioning different angles and drawing the top and bottom perspectives at certain times. I could post my boxes if you guys want to see my work.
>>78177304drawabox is Big Box Propaganda to make you develop a fetish for minecraft girls
>>78177684im pretty sure the main intention is to make you visualize form more through boxes since it's kinda difficult for beginners to envision a plain circle as a form.
>>78177304I think they serve their purpose well. I've been avoiding them for years online to have to come back to them now.Learn it now, Get it perspective out of the way for the future.
i told you bro i warned you dog. this is what happens when nobody explains what actual constraints of 1p is >>78167186
vp has to be dead center of the scene
Lugia stuff
Little style exercise with a character of mine
More design diversification. This time a bit more dynamic
>>78182454I like that after the first 2 you can't really tell any real difference between the versions.
>>78182503I might have played it a bit safe with the last 3 but it demonstrates diminishing returns. The last one is also the one I'm less satisfied with, and while it might be that it just didn't come out particularly good as a figure, it represents the more stereotypical furry style I'm trying to keep in check.

>>78183112that's not entirely true. the most active ones, maybe.
