I wanted to check out IDUNN once it got more content but according to people's comments on itch and elsewhere it just did a subversive twist. God forbid you have an indulgent harem vn. I've mainly checked out the latest update and main LIs turned out to be liars and not interested in MC. This made everything up to current update pointless filler. The author now constantly posts "don't get turn off now, it'll become better", but it's such a clean cutoff that it feels impossible to turn around. From an indulgent harem to a decontruction(with some cucking). It's impossible to believe the author now and any wish to check it out further has disappeared.P.S. It's a game people liked to talk about theory crafting with, but I don't really have the experience, just the finished project. The problem is the start is the best part outside of a later scene I mentioned. It slowly stops caring about being a murder mystery to being a drama not realizing that the premise it started with was the much better one. So it makes about 80% of the game pointless while you have to sit around and recapping everything constantly. So I see the game as largely a failure to deliver and the only excuse is the dog ate his homework so he had to wing the later parts. I'm hard on Password and Adastra because I thought they both had potential, but keep tripping and making mistakes over and over without really recovering.

I would like games to be meta in a fun way to use the medium of video games to their advantage. I think the closet to what I want happens in creepypasta games. Outside of some of them basically becoming viruses on the more extreme end. It kind of feels like an afterthought on most mainstream games that have meta elements. I think if done right, it could be cool to have a FVN where you do things like add or edit the files and it changes how the game plays out.
