The existence of the Christian god and I guess by extension Heaven/Angels is more or less confirmed by Abaddon and his backstory. He was sealed inside the boy by his father who was a priest in the first place, so God clearly exists and holds some measure of power over the world in the classical Biblical sense, not to mention that Abaddon is sometimes referred to as a fallen angel himself IRL iirc. When he beats Esther in connect 4, he calls her “the offspring of a lesser god”, presumably referring to capital G God who he looks down upon what with being a demon and all, and he also talks about the world being formed by ‘a god’, which I guess could mean that God isn’t alone and there are similar entities/other gods around too? Or maybe just him being petty again. The end times also has raining frogs which is described in the Bible (although I’m pretty sure it was a river being flooded with them). Whether or not we’ll explore further into Hell or Heaven or angels is anyone’s guess but I kind of like the air of mystery both sides of them have like this by not digging too deep, like how ghosts have no way of knowing whether they’ll go to heaven or hell once their ‘business’ is finished or really what either of them look like. That literal fallen angel thing could be neat, but it would have to be done pretty tactfully so it doesn’t cramp the solid dynamic already present, could be a little girl for like a one off episode or something, maybe even use Esther as a host or something.
