If you were trapped inside of something, would you be able to see anything? I remember watching a vsauce video that explained that a baby inside the womb would have enough light to read by, but that's inside of a belly that's stretched pretty thin. If you were like two inches tall and buried deep somewhere inside the small intestines, surely you're not getting any light in there, right?
