I do have to agree that a bit of gatekeeping is infact a good thing. This isnt generally a popular opinion, i think, but being *too* open for everyone to come in leads to a community being diluted by people with different visions and opinions. Course i trust em. How could i not? I was scared and a bit angry for my first appointment, of course, i think evryone is. People that say they werent were either florted before they got there or are lying.
Anyways, on our first appointment they:
-cured some hidden spot of cancer i didnt know i had in only one seshion
-extracted a considerable amout of microplastics and asbestos from me and my lungs
-gave me pills that fixed my onseting liver damage
-gave me another set of pills that made my joints healthier and able to move without going "click click"

It's a mix, a friend of mine who often found things that "fell off a truck" sold me a few crates of synthcubes like a week before the Affini showed up. Who, exactly? Me and my men are well fed, thank you very much. Even if synthcubes arent filling and taste like concentrated ass, they provide everything we could possibly need. Honestly it's pretty easy to stay in good shape as long as you arent a lazyass - and all the lazyasses got vented or lobotomized long ago.

If you have to ask us, it's almost certainly over for you. You wouldn't be posting if this were a once-or-twice every-now-and-then problem, would you? Should we take a look at your compiler logs and scan for stimulants? Maybe ask your hab if you've even been trying to get a solid eight hours?

When you were initially getting checked in, your vet should have identified and corrected any imbalances in your system, but you'll probably want to go back and specifically ask about this. If there is legitimately Something Wrong with you it'll be corrected or you'll be accommodated accordingly. If this is more behavioral, you'll likely get yourself assigned an affini Sleepminder (See >>73165432) to correct your habits.
Do keep in mind that you shouldn't feel obligated to follow a strict sunrise-sunset circadian rhythm. If your preferences (or biology) align more with being nocturnal, or following an atypical segmented sleep schedule, those things are just fine and can certainly be managed!

It depends. If you use the scan-copy method, it doesn't matter, but there'll be two of you, and only one will be digital. If you want to move yourself into the digital, that's a haustoric overgrowth process that gradually replaces your nervous system completely with phytotech, and requires the constant supervision of an affini to keep it from killing you.
