New idea. Gimme a Grimm! What do people call it, what are they known to do? How common or uncommon are they, and what's the general way Huntsman deal with them if it's out of the ordinary? And did your OC ever encounter them before?
funny how even in scarletverse ruby is still best girl, not the oc's.
>>78312369It's called the Throngler. It throngles. It's very uncommonIt's dealt with by bombing the area or running away. There are no survivors.
>>78312378Hard disagree.
>>78312434are you sure
>>78312369The Harpy. One of the cult's attempts at creating a Nihil from one of their faithful, but a failure on account of it not having the intelligence a proper one ought to have. Certainly uncommon compared to normal Grimm, and trying to kill it would require getting it on the ground first. Asher and Onyx were hunting it as "unlicensed Huntsman" work.
>>78312475Absolutely. The chunni-tomboy cow girl is the one for me

Gonna commission Emercury Family portrait. Maybe Renora too later
>>78314246>tfw the rock you gave Goose years ago is her most favorite in her collection
>>78313728Are we still doing the whole "Lumi loses her parrying dagger and creates an identity crisis alongside her inferiority complex" thing? Because if so I highly recommend we have it happen in Year 3.
>>78313728Yes
Do Americans really not have kettles in their kitchen?
>>78314648A kettle is inefficient when I have a perfectly functional microwave
>>78314648Tf is a kettle you mean a tea pot?
>>78314648I have an electric kettle get fucked
>>78314648https://youtu.be/pWv_8nOcNXE
>>78314384That's so adorable
>>78314670This is HORRIFYING. Like how do you avoid burning yourself on the handle? How do you avoid superheating the water (which can literally explode)? How do you make cup ramen in that?I've got so many questions man.>>78314687No like an electric kettle. The ones you put water in and it boils it. It's really handy now that I live in a much colder country. And it's pretty fast too since it boils within a minute.>>78314790Fair, I was just arguing with a friend living in Michigan on the benefits on owning an electric or even stovetop kettle.>>78314800Kek, that's like almost the same kind of argument we had.Does the typical Atlas and Vale have electric kettles? Or do they have a hot water dispenser instead?
>>78314891>ValeThe electric Kettle>AtlasHot water dispenser>Mistral & VacuoStovetop Kettle/Pan/Pot
>>78314891Just don't heat it up for that long; 2 minutes does it just fine. Besides, the handle of the mug is never hot, at least when I'm handling it.>How do you make cup ramen in that?Oh I couldn't tell you, I've never made cup noodles before. When I make ramen I use the ones you turn a pot on for.
>>78314981That's bizarre to me but aight, I can see it. Instant ramen was so pivotal to me back in uni.
On a similar point, what kind of tea or hot beverage culture did the kingdoms develop? Like what kinds of teas would they brew or like if they have hot coco or coffee etc...
>>78315062Coffee for Vacuo and tea for Mistral, maybe
>>78315488Atlas drinks sbiten, and Vale has hot chocolate
>>78315062I can't imagine Vacuo having cocoa, they got no rainforests. Maybe like the outer western parts of Sanus but definitely not the sandy parts. I can imagine them having coffee though, they've got a pretty big mountain range to the west and good coffee is usually grown pretty high up. Could also see them producing specific teas like Mint, brittlebush and desert sage which can thrive in the desert with so much direct sunlight. For Vale I think they'd be the most abundant when it comes to all kinds of hot beverages. I would think that fruit tea would be popular during the winter since it's easy to preserve and dry them but I do also seeing them consuming tons of black tea and coffee since they've got that huge mountain range in the east. Hell they've got jungles and forests so they'd definitely have tons of room to grow cocoa. As for Atlas, I think that traditionally they'd only really have tea and fruit tea at that for their hot beverage. Only in the recent age when they've really traded with Vale and other kingdoms would they get access to Cocoa and Coffee. So I can definitely see them being deep into tea culture for the older generations but with younger generations I can see them consuming other beverages with Atlas' industrial fabrication of goods. With Mistral, I see the same being similar to Vale except they'd probably go more in depth with growing other exotic varieties of tea instead of expanding the type of beverages. I can see lots of regional varieties in what type of tea they'd consume depending on the geography. Like for example, mountain towns would have less oxidized tea making them specialists in making white teas and the like. And finally for Menagerie, I can 100% see them growing exclusively cocoa given their abundance of rainforests.
>>78315919Yeah, I can see older Mantleans and Atlesians adding jams to their tea and whatnot
>>78315919>Menagerie cocoa plantations>Faunus committing more faunus slavery than the SDC
>>78315964I hear they grow cotton too
There was a discussion on Charlotte being a Mistral instructor a while back, what's your take on this?
>>78314648Like, a stove? I have a stove and a microwave.
>>78314648>>78314891Serious answer is that we use 120v for most appliances except for ovens. We kinda don't have that much current going through our circuits lest we blow out the fuse and create fire hazards everywhere. And well, most American houses are made out of wood, it's kinda imperative that we don't have electrical fires. Here in Louisiana, we just use a stovetop kettle for hot water it's both easier and safer as well as uses no electricity (just some gas).
