The lore has changed a bit over the years and there isn't a lot of content about daily yautja life. What I always thought, and I think this is backed by old lore, is that female yautja are more aggressive and enjoy fighting with potential mates. So male yautja have prove themselves to females via combat. I haven't read any of the novels and I've yet to pick up batman vs predator, both of which apparently go into more detail on predator life. So I'm far from an expert.I mostly enjoy Yautja through fanfic which often leads heavily into the matriarchy aspect.
