Cause rn it seems possible to me, that Jared and co' figured out how shit the script is (since we know now that Pawbert will be a twist villain + the general reptile idiocy), so they crammed in the ring scene last second because it was too late to make more changes earlier in the script.Can't wait to see what more the novelization will tell us
