Council of Wyrms GM here. I don't know how to begin, so, here it goes:> Dragons once ruled with fang & claw after a very brutal war. Whilst victory led to peace, it was never everlasting. Their thirst for more grew & as it did, the first blood spilt leading into another war between their own- Metallic, Chromatic, & Gem. But neither brother or sister were allies in this war. No one was until it was too late, humanity rallied & began facing these once many & powerful dragons. And so, Great Io descended & slit his forearm for his blood would later create the Io's Blood Isles. His children fled to this new land but like before- it was not enough & so, the dragons did battle once more. However, a different set of war drums came from offshore- humanity. These Man were far more skilled with ancient magics & cruel weapons for dragon slaying than their ancient counterparts.1/?

My last character in Eclipse Phase, for instance, was a pre-fall mind woken by a corporation with a very heavy NDA - As in, he was included - and subsequently mined a designated region of space until his contract was ended and he found himself wherever the GM starts us from. Anything extra, events, people, names, all is added as we go. If ever. Because fundamentally I'm not good at writing, and if it ever comes up I can just create it on the fly anyways. Personal opinion, but, that's how I prefer it to go typically. Can't speak on your situation, but, maybe it'd be best to try to get that at least from your players, instead.
