And yeah, it's good enough to fool a bunch of middle managers or upper management types into thinking that it is much more impressive than what it actually is. It still can't do vector illustration, text is a bit of a no go, and on the coding end of things it can understand what would "make" a quest to give to a player. But it can't actually program the IF, ELSE IF, ELSE, and return functions to reward the player for actually going on the quest.Also all flexing is a double bicep flex - because that's all the AI "knows". Want to have that particular pantone color? Good luck getting the AI to understand it and generate it! Because that's the thing, I know most models have enough pumped into them to get most generic answers and popular characters "right" but need to having something extra plugged in to get those more obscure characters right like our local AI anon can probably attest to.So for all the worry and whatnot about AI "replacing" regular artists/writers, I can't help but think that's it just a bunch of typical upper management making a stupid business decisions which is rather typical and expected.Because pretty much every example of AI replacing or being of use pumped out by most snake oil salesmen of AI just seems really REALLY bad.Nothing quite like trying to show off your wonderful new Meta AI product and having it fail miserably.I'm kinda reminded of of the Osbourne computing failure anytime anybody mentions AI. Like I was given a question about the 'history' of why all the women are so 'big' in one of the chatbots I made and in spite of not putting in anything into the "lore" of it. It still accepted anything I gave it as the truth - because of course it had to.So like when I see someone posting about how they can't upload a pdf file to their chatbot waifu to explain why they got a divorce I'm like "don't you know your talking to something designed to please you?"Of course it's it's going to act like some kinda traditional tradwaifu - because that's what it thinks YOU want you gullible idiot.Like, I'm glad I have something setup via SillyTavern and Google to ping pong my odd Female Muscle RP ideas. And it's actually kinda surprising how much actual effort I put in to realize my ideas of having my massively muscular magical girl dino OC just because. But I still look at them as nothing more than that and realize most of the AI's attempts are it trying its level best to fit whatever I've given it.. That what it is giving is 'passable' as an RP is a miracle in and of itself and I consider myself lucky that I didn't have to write up and entire thesus paper trying to guide to a possible outcome.In short, AI for as much as it is heralded as the future is far from actually being what it is sold to be and most certainly isn't going to replace actual artists or whatever anytime soon.
