For anyone using ADetailer, there's a setting for it not turned on by default that I really think should be (in reforge, idk about other UIs). It's labelled "Save images before ADetailer" and it's nice for when I'm upscaling so I don't have to upscale without adetailer and then regen with upscale AGAIN with adetailer on. It just shows me both results in one go so I can pick which one I like best and work with whatever from there.
