Had a dream about about affini the other day, I think they’re trying to reach me >~<

That i really really like the idea of someone asking me all kind of *wierd* and *out there* questions, and oddly personal probing questions, in an interview style setting, as if its completely normal. Its a really good fantasy, for some reason, i really like it.
Be it a job interview, or first time seeing the vet, or whatever,, and they ask all kinds of embarrasing questions and i get all shy answering, maybe they have to give a bit of class Ds and then i can only watch as i say all kinds of things that i'd never even tell close friends like they're totaly normal to say and i cant stop myself... Thank you, it was really such a surreal dream, I felt on edge the entire time but also really excited that the affini were real in my dream. Like I said, it just started off normal and then it descended into complete mindfuckery.

I think the thing that got to me the most about that dream was that the affini were deliberately hiding in plain sight and taking people that way. In every other fic I’ve seen, compact presence is a very much known quantity. The idea that the affini could be lurking around any corner, needles primed, makes me a lil anxious ngl (but also kinda happy idk idk). The closest parallel to this fic wise is probably hot new pet app in terms of pre invasion shid alongside weird shit being justified by the protag

But Uyeah, as someone who struggles to articulate themselves, class Ds sound fucking godly. Okay okay I know it’s only been three hours but I saw her again tonight, but the dream was much shorter and harder to describe. Felt a lot more erratic.

The first bit of the dream is the most difficult to put to words. I was trapped in a void, smashed against her very tightly. Her vines lathered and scratched all across my body, I felt like I was nodding in and out of consciousness. Looking up at her felt fucking indescribable, I couldn’t maintain eye contact or I felt like I was gonna throw up. But through the few glimpses I could manager, her face filled me with simultaneously so much joy and pleasure I just wanted to cry. The whole dream felt like sensory overload

The next dream features me inside of my house on a very very foggy day, I could barely see anything past a meter outside. Suddenly, a viney hand slams against a window and it sends a jolt of fear through me

Idk if this is because I watched ghostwatch and Noroi recently, but the last segment involves me being on sort of live show with a psychic present. I’m called up the stage and the psychic attempts to draw my dreams with “frightening accuracy”. After a few moments, im presented with a picture of an orange shrub with a red orb at the centre with spikes shooting out from it. I remember him saying “it’s not dangerous I don’t think, but it wants you very badly, I don’t know why”

That last dream kinda scared me a lil. I’m sore all over and I’ve only gotten like three hours. Gonna go back to sleep to see if I see her again bye bye

this is totally unrelated to hdg but I had a really weird dream last night
I forget most of it, but I remember the important part. At one point there was some godlike thing, it was huge and floating in the air. I think it was underground, but a huge cavern. It had a massive tube shaped body like a serpent, but round and smooth. It didn't have a head at all, just flat where you would expect its head would be, and its tail tapered away at the end. It might have had eyes randomly spaced along the body, and it had occasional glowing yellow vertical stripes. It also had big fanlike fins like a fish.
it should have been scary, but when I met it there was a golden light and a feeling of love, I wasn't scared at all. It was really weird and I'll probably remember it for a long time.

This makes me think about the whole propaganda speeches things again.
I thinking about it, i must conclude that its a bonding ritual between owner and freshly minted floret, more than anything else.
Cause, at the most generous i can be, its terribly unoptimized as propaganda, be it as a genuine message or for psychological warfare.

If its a genuine message, you'd think they'd have someone that seems mostly lucid say some things about how good their life is while downplaying, softening or avoiding the things that ferals hate hearing - like their actual legal ownership and enthusiastic submission to their owner, or the litteral braincontrol implant attached to their brain stem.
You know, stuff that'd actualy have a *chance* at calming them and making them go "maybe its not that bad to surrender! Maybe they do have our best interest at heart!"

But no. They don't filter the messages for the sensibilities for individualist feral freedom fighters.

So maybe its psychological warfare to get ferals to freak out and surrender, hoping to get of lightly or realizing the hopelessness of the fight ?
