Some wording nitpicks early like> consciousness was jolted back to his morning."back to that morning" flows a little better. Or how words being spoken softly shouldn't "barrel" out of her maw. What's missing is Hendrick should drop his axe whether from the village memory or being suddenly embraced though. When she asks if they sent him after her, mentioning her "features soft" I think you should mentioned an expression of hers. A thought I have is even with the reader's perspective being Hendrick's, Opal could use a bit more reaction time, I think might be the best way to word it? Reading to the end, it is a good start between Hendrick & Opal for where you take it.>>79195641>To anonI'm pretty sure that I did see it, it was an attempt to do some more writing practice, and it did work out for writing more afterward. I'm glad you liked the descriptions, even though it is probably the hardest part for me in the moment to move past since I get indecisive over what words to use. I tried to picture what I felt when I read Eragon when I was younger, or Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher for painting the scene and how they might speak to one another. Whenever I write, I've used writing 1.5k words a day to be my goal in the past, so as you can see by pic related that ended up 22k~, it isn't too uncommon. (Though I have set it to 1k now so I don't burn myself out wanting to hit higher, and if I surpass doing 1k, it's more of a "I already reached my goal today, everything else is bonus" for me)By the by, since we are asking each other, I hope you don't find it presumptuous to ask what you thought of the Giratina story I wrote before?
