Part of this is that men are more susceptible to the corruption of demons offering them things like wealth and power. And I was thinking of making it a plot point in the main story when it kicks off that thanks to their earlier mercenary teams completely wiping that the church starts sending in all-women teams from then on. The second prologue is gonna focus on the capital of the county when the pink bloodmoon first happens- showcasing the in-the-moment stuff of what went down, while also showcasing the major power-players of the area. I did it this way because I figured since the characters won't know what's going on when the Pink Bloodmoon shows up it would have been too confusing for first-time readers. Hence the first prologue showcases the effects of the Pink Bloodmoon so we can see as it kicks off how it first went down.

Okay, it's map time again! I figure I should make a coherent layout for the current arc since I want the area to feel more dense and intimate. I'm just trying to figure out where to put stuff in relation to each other. So firstly I figure this is the most 'town' area the circus denizens have, so what little civic structures they have are placed here. Namely the Community Theater (to have plays and musicals in- as well as to act as a makeshift town-hall if need be), and the local library (cause I figure they probably don't get wifi so this is where they keep books and dvd's to share to entertain themselves) alongside a lot of the local eateries. I was gonna have the funhouses on the north side, but I figured having them on the south side makes more sense as that's closer to the other attractions, even if space doesn't have to make too much coherent sense in the setting, I think it works better for both me and the audience. I'm also figuring I want at least two alleys that act as sort of 'danger zones' with one being taken up by the Gooner Federation as sort of their home base. Outside of that I have the three family restaurants. I should probably have them maybe in an intersection, I was thinking the Chinese restaurant is actually part of a local 'Chinatown' that includes other east-asian restaurants that are just less aggro. But I'm wondering what else I might put as businesses in the local 'civic center'.

Also what are other good ethnic food restaurants? Excepting Italian which'll be on the boardwalk. Preferably something that's been around for a few decades and not too recent a phenomena (the Circus has a bit of a lag on more recent stuff).

Not that this will be too relevant to the story- this is just a worldbuilding exercise. I also decided to add a salon, general store, and local newspaper. Figuring they probably call it 'the Funny Pages'.

I was kinda unsure how to approach the chapter, but I think I've got a decent flow, mostly just spelling out a lot of the plot I figured would be going on in the background. Helps that the actual isekai plot isn't too important, so I don't feel the need to worry about speeding through the plot points. I think the main thing I'm trying to figure out how to transition into is the idea that the Siren doesn't actually brainwash people (maybe Lucy accuses her of such?) she just offers them what they want and their lack of morals does the rest. And this factors into the cliffhangar at the end as she tries to 'seduce' Lucy into being a minion. So probably should save that part for the end. I was also thinking of revealing that the things they needed from the ritual were like 'divine panties' that they've already assembled (taking care of the busywork of the villains plan).

Agnes is just kind of weak-willed so she's going along with things, but can choose not to at any time. The others are all playing characters and aren't capable of really questioning what's going on around them. Talking to them is a bit like talking to an NPC, so they can really only do what the script tells them. And due to how magic works they won't have any recollection of it- or any they would be one they quickly rationalize and forget about or don't question. Beck and Lucy don't fully understand the mechanics, but they've had enough experience thus far that they understand the gist. I was thinking of having a moment in the next Ninja Minisode where Lucy discusses this stuff.

I want to work a bit on the Pink Bloodmoon story, coming across a minor structural problem. Basically I want a maid as a POV character during a big party in the local capital/castle, where she gets a quick look at representatives of several local factions. I'm just trying to figure out what would work as a good excuse for a brief in with these different faction representatives. It doesn't have to be in depth interactions, just something simple that justifies her going to a bunch of places in the castle while doing her job. Ideally I don't have to spend a lot of time here, it's mostly about seeding plot points for later.
