So if I’m understanding this right all Terrans are sickeningly cute to every affini, moreso than the cutest puppy for baby you’ve ever seen. That makes it easier to understand why one who haven’t been here long get way too grabby. An affini who didn’t speak Terran, I think she was from the core worlds, saw me the other day and started vibrating excitedly and picked me up out of nowhere then tried to give me a candy bar. A deeply weird and unpleasant experience, and I thought regular affini lacked self-control

I'm kind of glad I'm not the only person who feels that way sometimes. A lot of the time I end up feeling like humanity (and me especially) have done so much harm that we don't deserve anything good to happen to us, though I really try to avoid dwelling on it. Still, it's not like the Affini are doing what they do out of selflessness either, at least depending on your interpretation of them
