Safe to say, I'm fairly certain how they look. If you compare just the heads, then yea... The DoS Lizards look a bit peculiar. But what made them superior to me however was their whole body design and how they weren't just "humans with lizard heads". Something that I can't say for Argonians or a lot of bestial races in videogames.

At the time they were pretty much the only one who tried and it still stands out. Most media and games have real problems with displaying protagonists or focal characters which isn't just a slightly different human who are used as a stand in for modern American cultural issues.

Especially as technology for fidelity has progressed, encouraging hyper detail and depth to every single tiny piece.I'm not going to say you can't add excessive detail to some bits. But, when doing so, I think they should be done with consideration to the whole and what you're trying to convey.You can give detail, of course. I'm not saying it's inherently bad. But you look at a lot of real-world animals, and most their features flow together. Blend, or otherwise flex, to where they feel like they fit instead of like they've been glued on where they otherwise wouldn't work just for its own sake.
