I don't mean to be rude but am I the only one that feels as if cyborgs are out of place for RWBY? I know Penny is a literal robot girl, but she's explicitly a robot and is a one of a kind creation made with super advanced experimental technology. I know prosthetic limbs are a thing too, what with Yang having her arm and Ironwood being half machine, but those are replacing what was missing and are very visibly artificial. Characters like Lyla and Touko are more akin to Deus Ex or Cyberpunk 2077 cyborgs where tech and flesh merge more seamlessly, and I feel like that's a very stark departure from how RWBY presented cybernetics and it doesn't quite fit the world. I get that I'm being overly negative or whatever, but I feel as if a better way to present cyborg characters in SV would to make them abundantly weird, experimental/haphazardly made, and unwelcome in the world, not naturally integrated as they currently are

Half of Ironwood's body is metal in V3; it stands to reason that with more tech development a more human-looking cyborg would be possible.
