Dating started feeling like another job on top of Nova's already stressful career at the time. Nova's last attempt was working out, but Nick didn't like the idea of it ending the same. Couple this with said abandonment issues and she acted out. It's literally Nick's fault the last one ended badly, she's the one who scared off the last guy. It wasn't out of some calculated move or knowing what she was doing, Nick was just a child making a decision based on emotions. Less time for Nick, mom gets sad, the cycle repeats.

>>79952324Frankly speaking, nothing is intrinsic to her. Nova, Elvira, being some kind of outgoing rock enthusiast with a snappy sense of fashion and a hatred of Fang. Nick had one line of dialogue and three minutes of screen time as outside of someone else's limelight. It's impressive they've stuck around this long when you have established characters with little in comparison, but I guess that's kinda the attraction at this point. You know how Reed, Naomi, Naser, Damien, Liz, etc are going to behave. Nick and plenty of others have nothing more than a picture and some text if they're lucky.
