A downside of the aftermath with Toriel and Sans in Chapter 4 is that it kind of robs the fun of Kris and Toriel inviting Susie over for Christmas. It's kind of been a recurring subject for fics, greens, and discussions over the years since Chapter 1, but the current vibe that the Dreemurr home is no longer a safe space for either of our goobers puts a damper on it.>>80103839Night, anon.

It's good to see him again.While this is *my* main reason, I think it resonates with other people — Chapter 5 feels too close, too "around the corner" and we're just so of waiting for impact still. Future chapters on the horizon tend to disincentivize creatives from being too laissez-faire with their content, too. There's the fear of committing to theories and character arcs that Toby will dash away sometime in 2026, so committing to a 10-chapter fic starring Susie's mom might not be timely for some.Krusie being way more mainstream now also poaches my attention a bit, too. I used to have to go almost exclusively to /sus/ or the Eastern fandom for Krusie content, but now it's basically everywhere when I need my "fix."We're just in an awkward [ waiting room ] stage. Sometimes we'll get a burst of discussion one day, and then we'll take it slow and easy the next. We'll talk about certain things here or there, like what Susie's home life is like, or the whole story behind Susie bullying Kris, or Kris's grand plan for the scheme with the knight, but those topics are easy to exhaust since Toby's sparse with the details. On the plus side, we're also slower since we don't have as much pointless drama too.Overall, I don't mind the slow days. It would be nice to see more content from our creators, though. I'm always excited to see Jelly post, and frankly the only Krusie fics I read are from here, so I'm always open to see new ones.

>>80105647I don't use /doe/ too often but based on the reports my theory for the lingering trolling there is that because Kris and Noelle's relationship is still very much on ice so it's easier to stir the pot with things like Suselle or just overall dangling Susie as something to taunt them with (the idea that Kris would be friends with someone who bullied them instead of Noelle).We still get shitstirrers here but a lot of trolling back in the day was focused on Susie forgetting about Kris entirely and themes of Kris being entirely alone but the recent chapters have been improving Kris's relationships. Susie most of all, of course. We don't even get the same "Toby won't be allowed to do Krusie because it's het-coded" anymore because the fandom embracing the ship has proved that's not even a factor barring loud idiots that even normies make fun of.On that note, it's partially why I'm rooting for some Kris and Noelle interaction next chapter even as a Krusiebro. Kris and Noelle being proper friends in the present would be healthy across the board. Given the direction Toby's going with Kris/Susie I know we'll get kino by default, so there's no need for us to be greedy. Let Kris ride that ferris wheel with the doe while other things cook for Kris/Susie.
Aside from maybe making some of us doomscroll the #Krusie tag instead of posting here, have there been any downsides to the ship hitting the mainstream?I vibe with Toby here. The fandom *gets* them and don't remember an issue where the ship was pushed down the wrong direction by tourists or w/e.
