>>80137120>>80137461 (You)oh, forgot about Z2: kinda upset we didn't get a stronger wildehopps confirmation. I guess I understand we didn't get a kiss with it only having 1 week since Nick graduated from the academy, but maybe showing them on an actual date, or having some clearly couple-coded personal photo of them on a date on one of their desk would've been really needed to relieve the romantic tension the entire movie was building up.It kinda came off as ship-baiting with the way they edited some of the promotional material. I know many say its a "slow-burn" "trust-the-process" "they are foreshadowing it for Zootopia3" but we already waited 9 years for an answer, and do I really dare to hope NOW when my hope for Z2 has left me disappointed. With a war in the neighboring country, I'll be lucky if Putin doesn't nuke me before Zootopia 3 comes out.Only good thing is that I guess they leaned too heavily into it now to walk back out of it. And it looks like the movie even converted Ginnifer into a shipper of Judy and Nick which is cute.>>80137587Oh love the ostrich racing idea!I personally don't mind if like birds would be considered exotic animals and it would maybe a little more weird to ate them, like you would need to go to a shady part of Zootopia to find bird-meat, like how irl horse, rabbit and dog meat is weird to eat. Predators do already have fish AND crustaceans, and if we imagine bug-farming as huge industrial ultraprocessed system like in the Cyberpunk2077 universe, that should be enough to feed the predator population. But yeah, hope they the door open for wild and domestic birds, because sapient birds are just not necessary for the plot.>>80137762Holy shit, nice piece Weav! Glad to see you, man!Haha, finally Nick calls her out on this lol.

Haha yes, unfortunately...>98 minute run time.Yes online it says an hour and 48, but I mean come on that's with the credits so that doesn't count. And even then, it still wasn't nearly enough to flesh out the whole story. If this movie had like another half hour, then *maybe* this potential scene that you're talking about could have fit in but I do doubt it. So much of the story was just beat after beat after beat, not a lot of time for anything to breathe. I really think they're gonna be holding off until the third movie, I mean we literally ended off the second with Judy now yearning over Nick before heading off to do whatever it is she's about to do. She's in her casual clothes so who knows? Maybe the third movie does start off with a date, wouldn't that be swell <3
It's just me or Judy needs way more therapy than Nick?
>>80138300oh 100%
>>80138300they are both kind of a mess, but Judy's problem with her overcompensating for her weaknesses is way more self-destructive, while Nick's coping mechanisms are specifically stemming from desires of self-preservation. Again, kind of perfectly represents wildehopps them being the two sides of the same-coin, perfect opposites.
Reposting since the previous thread died right after I posted it>>80135348I probably was being a bit flippant with how I said it, so I apologize to all for that. I do understand worldbuilding, but I've just never staked any of my headcanons on something as fundamental as reptilian (or avian) intelligence since it's so easily subject to being changed in future official canon. I had a thought just now that maybe amphibians could be used as a replacement for reptiles for the authors mentioned. They feel similar enough to fish/different enough to mammals to reasonably assume that they won't be made to be intelligent in some future installment, especially now that fish have been established as canonically unintelligent.

>>80138300Nick was joking when he said that she needed a whole herd of therapy animals, but that still doesn't mean that she doesn't need help - same as him! They're both sorta fucked up and have problems that needed to be aired out in the open. I still think that Nick has some unresolved problems that still weren't really discussed at the confession scene but for what he said it was a big step forward for him. He talked about why Judy was so important to him and why he is so overprotective of her despite his childhood trauma preventing him for saying so, while she talks about why she is so overzealous to prove her self to the world but that she takes what he says so seriously because he's that important to her too. They are both talking about themselves and their problems in this matter, both seemingly have a death wish but Nick has one for her, while she has one to the world. She has a need to constantly one up herself to an unhealthy magnitude, he has the need to constantly look out for her. I'm sure by the third film (seemingly year two) they'll be much more on the same page, but then again who knows. I just hope they don't break them up again, since we already saw that twice.
>>80138543>To which shit are you referring?I'm assuming the homophobic comments made earlier.
>>80138740its a shrink escapee that bound his feet to us and now spends his days complaining to a bunch of people who are giving cum tribute to an orange dog and ot obsessing about an 40+ white dog
>>80138367no hard feelings, I understand your pov too. I'm not saying it BROKE the movie for me, like I said, I enjoyed it. It is a good sequel, just that the world-building falls apart at a lot of points if you think about it too hard, which wasn't a problem with the first movie. Hope Z3 will do better.>maybe amphibians could be used as a replacement for reptiles for the authors mentionedi actually suggested that in some community discussions and it was largely was met with weird looks, saying they are too similar, it would be weird. However I think that its confirmed that fish including sharks are non-sapient but marine-mammals like dolphins are sapient, the frog/reptile difference would be more acceptable now.I personally would be fine with it, since frogs and reptiles might be similar in appearance, but all reptiles are covered in scales while amphibians are smooth-skinned (not to mention covered in mucus, like how do year wear clothes if you are sweating SNOT 24/7)But again. people headcanonize stuff in hopes to predict what the writers might intend sometimes. With reptiles thrown into the world-building so light-heartedly, it is now a lot more riskier to even play with the idea of pet/wild amphibians and birds. If they do confirm them to be wild animals in Zootopia3 that would be amazing. I want pet frogs and birds for Zootopians. Pets and wildlife have such a strong psychological and social impact on us humans. The way a "person" interacts with an "wild animal" can be so magical. I would feel really bad if Zootopians could not experience the insane moment of a bird landing on your shoulder, or first time using the bird feeder you left in your window.

I would feel really bad if Zootopians could not experience the insane moment of a bird landing on your shoulder, or first time using the bird feeder you left in your window. It would be really nice to see such a thing but alas I'm not sure that's gonna be the plan. I believe Byron Howard stated before in an interview that there were gonna be no pets in this universe. I believe that they view they're gonna be going for is that the big three are gonna be sentient: birds, mammals, and reptiles. Amphibians being its own little family of animal so maybe your idea of them being potential pets wouldn't be the craziest. Skin being goopy 24/7 would have some interesting consequences if they were sentient.

>>80138984>Their speech to the therapy session at the end of the movie makes it seem that they "passed" and are now done with it.I think this is all the more reason why I think the third movie will dwell into this. If the first movie puts them together in the driver's seat and the second movie starts the engine, then the third movie will have them go to 60mph. They may have gotten over the first hurdle that is open communication and dialogue, but the second hardest part is to use it.I don't know if they'll actually timeskip two years in, but I think that Bogo and Fuzby will use their (being Wildehopps) relationship to show how effective a partnership can be if you just follow through. They showed up to the most recent therapy session at the end to show their accomplishment anyway, wouldn't hurt to pop in every now and then if something happens. I've read countless little fan fics where Judy offers (or more so let's him know beforehand) to clean up his apartment. Antics ensues, the two exchange bodily fluids, y'know the deal.I do think that living beneath an already sweat filled gym probably doesn't help Nick's case anyway, which is probably why they always go to Judy's place for hang outs (i.e the "Is this why you never invite me over?" line).

Someone posted a webm last thread of the emotional hug between Nick and Judy in regards to trying to make it into an iPhone wallpaper. Right before it pans away and the hug breaks seems like a really nice shot that could work with some cropping. Can anyone give it a shot if they’re able?>>80138984It's my super coping mechanism that the two years thing was a hint at how long before Zootopia 3. I know I'm dreaming, but let me dream.
>>80138892>it's confirmed that fish including sharks are non-sapient but marine-mammals like dolphins are sapient, the frog/reptile difference would be more acceptable now. That's a good point too. I hadn't considered that angle.>With reptiles thrown into the world-building so light-heartedlyI think that's doing quite a disservice to Jared and Byron to be honest. They care about this world as much as we do, if not more. It's their baby, after all. I don't think they would have gone down the reptile path without giving it serious consideration, even if it didn't get the screen time it deserved and needed to answer every question and loose end it created.Sapient reptiles (and avians by extension) make sense to me because like mammals, they're Amniotes, and therefore all much more closely related to each other than fish, amphibians and insects are to them.
>>80140237I have zero doubts youre a pedo anyway, they're always the most desperate to point at scapegoats like you've been doing for multiple threads.
If they canonize Nick and Judy in 3, do you think they'll at least give us a few minutes at the end to let us watch them be a couple? Go out on dates, fall asleep on the couch, watch a movie, etc?
>>80139903Pack Street if it kept going endlessly like The Simpsons and everybody turned into a sociopathic shell of their former selves
>>80140468>I think that's doing quite a disservice to Jared and Byron to be honest.they wanted to include reptiles and snakes at all cost, even though they couldn't figure it out how to explain the completely mammal centric society, when mammal themselves used "animal" and "mammal" both as synonyms for "people" in the first movie's setting. An original earlier plot was that reptiles are completely unknown for mammals, like they find an injured snake a the hospital is baffled by it, not knowing what it is.The first movie took the mammal world-building so seriously, that was what was appealing to so many writers as a setting. Predators were provided food source, not just hand-waves away as "vegan" like in KungFu panda or Sing or other anthro universes. They kept the composition of mammals as in the wild with the 1:10 ratio of predator and prey and so many more details that all made the world feel well thought out.Now the problem is the following with sapient-reptiles and sapient-birds being so seperate culturally of sapient-mammals:That's now well-thought out or a representation of real life things. You don't have a continent where only birds evolved, and you wouln't have a continent where only reptiles evolved. These animals evolve reaction to eachother.Snake evolves heat-sense to find prey on bird eggsBirds evolve talons and sharp beaks to defend their nestSnakes develop venom to hunt rodentsMongoose develop venom resistance to hunt snakesevoltion is an arms-race and species, the species we SEE in the movie, needed thousands of years of specific conditions to even come to existance. If a bird of prey evolves to hunt rabbits, it becomes an eagleIt a bird of prey evolves to hunt fellow birds like sparrows, it becomes a falconYou cannot say that birds had no contact with mammals througouth their entire evolution and STILL evolve the species they would only evolve into through interaction with mammals.-cont
>>80139290Charlie wouldn't be mean to him.
>>80140699If they do, it will be done to feel natural and purposeful, rather than just shoehorned in for fanservice. Or that's my hope anyway. I hate contrived hacky writing where things just happen for the sake of it. I always think of this line from Silence of the Lambs when thinking about why something is in a movie:>First principles, Clarice. Simplicity. Read Marcus Aurelius. Of each particular thing, ask what is it in itself? What is its nature? What does he do, this man you seek?
>>80140468>>80140837(You)some argue "well they evolved together, but then probably seperated when they gained sapience" but that's not how things in the real world work either. Culture is defined by regions not by phyisical appearances.A lion and crocodile and a vulture tribe in the savannah, would have joined history together, maybe trade, maybe wars, but if then a jungle tiger, anaconda and parrot tribe would show up, that would be seen as an invador. Just how the city has different ecosystems, the world would be split into ecosystem based alliances, countries, not animal-family based ones.A woodpacker and a wolf tribe would form an alliance waaaay before they would encounter a penguin or jackal tribe to form an alliance with. So sorry to say, but Jared and Byron absolutely did not think it through how to represent that animal world in the second movie and made the diversity a lot less realistic because of that.Sapient reptiles maaaybe can be explained with being secretive as a culture and not every reptile tribe being interested in interacting with mammal tribes as long they are left alone. But they cannot repeat that narrative with birds.there is no way the narrative of a "bird continent" would work. This world cannot function this way, it would undo any semblance of realism and well-thought out world-building the first movie established.

I may deeply dislike WildeHopps but I do believe the canon movies definitely support it, especially with all the subtext in the second movie. Also all the creators teasing about it. Your fear of it "not happening" is irrationally over reactive, though; I promise it's okay. It's not the end of the world for me if they make it blatantly canon in Z3, nor will it be the end of the world for you if they keep it up to interpretation instead. If you ask me, depending on interpretation, it's basically canon already.>>80141942While I wish this were true, I do believe Judy loves Nick, though my interpretation for why Nick loves Judy (n canon, according to what I can pick up from the movies themselves) is more like, aside from feeling he can show vulnerability with her, it has been a long time since he showed that to anyone but maybe his mother. He's found someone who was kind and encouraging to him when he felt nobody would ever believe in him seriously, but now he's found someone (maybe someone else? I think he was hurt once before, in my fanfic anyway lol) and he DOES NOT want to let go of the opportunity he sees to be happy. That's how I interpret canon. I may not like it but I can read subtext. Mostly from Z2. Anyway, I'm too high and busy with other shit to post a sketch, but if ya'll have any foxy art requests tell me and I'll see about delivering later, maybe tomorrow. Foxes only tho

>>80137461>Obviously my birds-reptile headcanon no longer works with reptiles.I mean, yes it still can. It’s your headcanon. Canon updates don’t retroactively invalidate headcanon unless you let them. Headcanon exists specifically to fill gaps or smooth over weird worldbuilding decisions, and honestly, your birds-reptile take is *more* thought-out than what we actually got. In terms of internal logic and biological grouping, it makes more sense and gives the setting clearer structure instead of a pile of exceptions. If anything, canon changing just highlights that the worldbuilding was always flexible and loosely defined. You’re not breaking anything by sticking with a version that’s more coherent. Headcanon isn’t about being “correct,” it’s about being consistent—and yours still is.If it works for your interpretation, keep it. No one’s obligated to drop a better idea just because canon decided to zig instead of zag.

I did not bash WildeHopps enjoyers in my post; nor did I tell anyone not to enjoy their ship. I also expressed how I believe WildeHopps in actually pretty much canon. I understand why people like it. Everyone, have fun, but be aware I am allowed to express my opinion if you are.Anon telling me to shut up on Christmas Eve, I hope you find some calmness and have a nice evening and Christmas with less aggression in your heart. You must be in a bad place for me expressing my benign opinion about fictional characters on the internet to upset you this much.

>>80142675I hope he hugs her or maybe proposes.
>>80142743This is 100% me projecting but if Nick was 18 in 2002 then Daft Punk and Fatboy Slim should be on the list.

>>80142743>We gotta figure out what he likes. He was 32 in 2016, right? So something 90s might be a favourite. What did he listen to in high school? So he was 16 in 2000. Craziest thought that comes to mind is if Nick was a huge Limp Bizkit fan, or even going so far to be a juggallo. Just imagining the fox in full makeup is funny enough to me haha.>Anon telling me to shut up on Christmas Eve, I hope you find some calmness and have a nice evening and Christmas with less aggression in your heart.Preach! A lot of money in stringing people along. There's a reason the "will they, won't they" trope still works, it gets people hooked.

>>80142926Somehow, this makes sense. Seeing how young Nick reacts to his mom's favorite band, maybe he'd go for a more relaxed set of music.
Reminder that Pawberts tent is now abandoned and will be left to rot, just like Pawbert.
>>80143008I'm surprised the concert's not at the Cow Palace (which is a real place in San Francisco).
>>80143036Lol. Would he like Tangerine Dream, then? I find it really relaxing especially when high... I like to imagine Nick is a film junkie too for some reason.
>>80142895Yes but I think here after 2 if they don't confirm them as a couple and kiss fans will not be happy. For movies that took 9 then 3 years respectively, stringing alo g is bad. Slow burn is fine but pushing it beyond the third is a poor idea I think. As is it's a perfect trilogy to build their romance and a perfect slow burn story. I trust them to do it right, but Disney suits I don't trust.
>>80143036That's absolutely adorable, and kinda sad considering what's coming in Nick's life.
>>80142675Prediction: He'll wind up and aim straight for get face, then stop a few inches away and simply boop her nose gently with a single finger

It even comes up in the fic I'm writing at the moment. A sneak peek:>Judy glanced at the TV. "What were you watching?" "Oh, just the original Star Roars. I've seen it probably more times than anything else, but it never gets old." "Huh, funny that, I've never seen it..." "You've never seen Star Roars!?" Judy shrugged. "Carrots, we need to fix that. Like, right now." "Nick, I'm tired. Just let me eat and go to bed. We can watch Star... whatever another time." "Star Roars. It's called Star Roars, and you'll love it, carrots. That's totally what it would be called in this universe. I think he'd also be a fan of "Back to the Fur-ture" if there has to be a pun in literally everything lol.Of course Marty would be a fox.I wonder which game console would have been Nick's fave? >>80142532That’s a fair way to define it, and I get where you’re coming from. You’re drawing a clean line between expanding canon and overwriting it, which makes sense if you want everything to fit neatly into the established timeline. The only place I’d gently push back is that, in practice, fandom tends to use “headcanon” a bit more loosely than that. A lot of headcanons exist precisely because canon is incomplete, inconsistent, or underdeveloped—especially in worldbuilding-heavy settings. When canon later clarifies or changes something, people don’t always abandon their earlier interpretations; they just continue using the version that feels more coherent to them. At that point, it’s less about contradiction for its own sake and more about choosing a framework that still works for their understanding of the world. For a long time, canon simply didn’t clarify whether reptiles existed at all, let alone whether they were sentient, partially sentient, or entirely animal-like. Because of the large gap between the two movies, people filled in the blanks with headcanon, not to contradict canon, but to make the world feel internally consistent.Your Bogo example is a good illustration of the extreme end—something that radically alters character intent and plot direction. But not all contradictions operate at that scale. Structural or biological rules (like species grouping, societal organization, etc.) tend to sit in a gray area where canon itself often isn’t airtight. In those cases, a headcanon can contradict a later detail without fundamentally rewriting the story or character arcs.
>>80143645>Hang on a second...I know it's not a 1:1 match, but that HAS to be what they were referencing.
>>80144346Someone in the replies to the original post mentioned "the fox elevator boy Renard" and I could see a similarity. I don't know if it helps.
>>80144358So I think this really comes down to scope and terminology. If someone prefers to call it an AU rule, that’s completely fair. But in broader fandom usage, it still functions as a headcanon, an interpretive layer meant to explain how the setting works behind the scenes, not a rewrite of the narrative itself. Ultimately, the label matters less than whether the idea maintains internal consistency and doesn’t distort the story being told.Neither approach is really wrong it’s mostly a difference in how strictly we’re categorizing things. If calling it an AU works better for you, that’s fine. I just don’t think the label alone should invalidate the idea, especially when the goal is coherence and worldbuilding rather than contradiction for shock value.
>>80143479>>80143545>>80143645I only got to see the movie once in the theatre; if I had access to the movie I'd scrape for details like this myself. These are neat. Thanks for posting!

>>80144737I liked it well enough and I thought the reptiles were integrated pretty well, even though they kinda fucked the scale putting them in. Most of the reptiles are way, way too big in a setting that's been pretty faithful about size difference till now. But I can also guess why they did it.Honestly, the dolphin felt more out of place than the lizards, somehow. My big complaint is the pacing was way too fast, never felt like we could settle down on a scene or a moment and take our time with it, everything was breakneck and hurried because there was just so much going on in the runtime. I think a few scenes should've been chopped and the overall movie left to breathe a little. It's also why I feel we didn't get a very good look into any of the new characters. Nibbles, imo, gets more characterization than Gary, and I still don't really have a good read on him. That said he is pretty cutewith judy
>>80144631Weaver what do you think WildeHopps chances are for Zoot 3?
>>80144868...Zero? Exactly the same as Z2?How do you guys not understand how this works yet? The "will they/won't they" setup and the ambiguity to read it either way is the entire point of how they're framing their relationship. If they wanted it to be explicitly romantic they would've done it at the end of 1.
>>80144615>this is the most chatGPT thing i've ever fucking readSomeone earlier in the week posted a chat response, riddled with the ever so dread "it's not x - it's y" and i just found myself disappointed. The whole point of discussing the lore and coming up with your own little bits and pieces that might fit is that it's YOUR own little bits and pieces. Not some machine, it's just a little sad to see so many people depend on something.I myself got no drawing ability to boast about, I just like looking at silly little images drawn by real people that involve the shimmering silver bunny and the argent amber fox. I'd personally love to write a little fic or two involving them eventually (honestly I probably should have already) since I think I have a pretty decent grasp on their characterizations. Hell, there's already a little embedded narrative in the book I'm writing that'll involve a fox and a rabbit, and that was before I even got re-involved into this fandom.Ahhh sorry I shouldn't be ranting too much, I just wish people weren't afraid to use the creative juices in their mind. Cooking, writing, drawing, tinkering, decorating, there's a whole lot of verbs that challenges the mind and people should strive for it.
>>80144851>My big complaint is the pacing was way too fast>never felt like we could settle down on a scene or a moment and take our time with it>everything was breakneck and hurried because there was just so much going on in the runtime>I think a few scenes should've been chopped and the overall movie left to breathe a little. It's so funny to me that this appears to be everyone's biggest problem with the movie (including me) since it's basically just saying "We wanted to spend more time in Zootopia. You didn't give us enough time in Zootopia."I don't know what the chances are, but hopefully the powers that be might approve a longer runtime for Zootopia 3 if the right people hear how common these criticisms are.
I want to cum inside Al.
>>80144631>mfw you tell a little stoat dude he can't throw grape soda cans on the sidewalk because its littering and he starts ranting about "prey loving celebrities telling him what to do"
>>80145073
With the laser focus on hopps and wilde there's still lots of neglected & unexplored territory for the Zootopia fandom. They could honestly make Zootopia 3 just like a Sly Cooper movie with zero connection to ZT 1&2 and I'd love it. I've been on a writing streak lately so I'm going to try my own mammal inclusion initiative and come up with ideas for anything other than wildehopps.
>>80145073Remmy already had first dibs.
>>80144957"will they/won't they" works for a long-running TV series where there's new content coming out every year to keep everyone on the hook. Making people wait years and years on end only to give them cinematic blue balls is just bad business.>But that's exactly what they did with Zootopia 2! We waited nine years and still didn't get what we wanted.Yeah, but Zootopia was never written with any expectation or guarantee of there actually being a sequel, and outside of their natural chemistry as friends/partners, and an ambiguous throwaway line before the end credits, there wasn't really anything concrete to suggest a romantic relationship could be on the cards. And then it made over a billion dollars. Zootopia 2 on the other hand, ends on a post-credits sequel hook and is littered with things that suggest something more than friendship is likely on the horizon in a future instalment. I mean, they all but said that they love each other in the reunion scene, where else do you take their relationship arc from there?
>>80144669Unfortunately the showings in my local area have ended; it was the 17th which they last showed. >>80144851>Most of the reptiles are way, way too big in a setting that's been pretty faithful about size difference till now.I'm not gonna lie, this just fucking hit me now and I didn't even realize. Looking at Jesús compared to Nick, the lizard is still taller than him which is nuts since that lizard (plumed basilisk) is comfortably the size of an adult human hand. No wonder they felt a little off, even Gary was scaled up a bit though his can be a little excusable since some species of snakes can get that big (even if it isn't own!)>Honestly, the dolphin felt more out of place than the lizards, somehow. >>80145409And imagine how much more they could make if they gave people what they wanted.
>>80145434anon to say you are overestimating how much people care about whether or not wildehopps is canon would be understating itif anything by not committing to making the relationship canon they're having it both ways, which gives it a broader appeal than committing either way would
>>80145464Well, agree to disagree. "Bad business" was probably the wrong terminology to use to say what I meant anyway.Either way, it still doesn't answer the question of where else do you take their relationship arc from there?
>>80143311Page 5, conclusionfinally on equal footing
>>80145464Make them a couple and then tease when they'll get married. Both sides get to eat good. Though I think putting of letting them kiss and confirm they're in love is bad for business because once it's confirmed people will go see that movie over and over just to see the kiss. Then they'll keep coming back to see what the couple get up to next, or if they'll propose, etc. A reason people love these characters is they're flawed and growing emotionally. Both in their issues and in their relationship. From enemies to rivals to friends to more. I give the Zoot team more credit than just stringing us along maliciously. We didn't see them with each other long enough in 1 for them to fall in love, then Nick passed into zpd. Well we still needed to build up for the audience how their relationship is so we can see what it's like now. To me there's a lot of things pointing to more than friends and more like soulmates.
>>80145609>Both sides get to eat goodhow is that eating good for the side that doesn't want them to be a couple
>>80145493>Either way, it still doesn't answer the question of where else do you take their relationship arc from there? In the third movie, the gang gets to go back to the Old West days of Zootopia and repeal the law that banned the original avian founders of the city. Gary and Nibbles get back to the present, while Nick and Judy get stranded. They come back moments after Gary and Nibbles, but they've come back aged 10 years with their two children: Byron and Jared. Gary and Nibbles wave goodbye as the family goes off to the sky, the words "The End" flash on while Gazelle sings in the background leading to the credits. There it is, that's all folks
>>80145625Oh yeah, also Gideon Grey Sr. is a notorious gang mammal. He ends up teetering with a blueberry pie behind him, and a pile of cowpie in front. He falls forward.

>>80145728Oh they had no reason to kiss in Z1. I didn't feel there was enough there except a basis for a strong relationship. 2 however set a lot of things in place where they clearly care about the other. I guess I like seeing them grow closer and closer in 2 and am glad it does seem they're falling in love, because I've always thought friends into lovers was romantic. I see a lot of comments on various Zootopia 2 posts getting upset at people about platonic friends, but what's so bad about friends becoming more? I guess I'm just the odd one out. I mean I am alone so I guess there's that. Thanks for the response Weaver. I wasn't trying to get on your nerves or anything. I'm glad you draw Wildehopps for all of us even if you don't care for it in the films.

>>80145705When movies were shot on film and the 'cutting room floor' was an actual, physical space where film strips were trimmed and spliced (all mostly still the case in 1989), reshoots were incredibly expensive and typically done only as a last resort for everything except the biggest productions. So before nonlinear editing and especially before digital photography, a *lot* of flubs like this would make it into TV and film productions, even if the editors noticed it, because there was more of an incentive to keep a take if it was otherwise 'good enough'.
>>80145890Ye, Sydney to be specific.Tamworth's a pretty obscure place to know someone from half the world away lol.
>>80145931Well, to be fair, reshoots are still incredibly expensive (and a tremendous nuisance) even now. The difference is that budgets, and therefore the stakes, are a lot higher nowadays that the cost of reshooting something is easier to justify.
>>80137762Buckle in folks, here we fukin go...
>>80146383The last page was posted an hour ago bro
>>80139238Go on, do the final panel with them fucking on the floor in front of them while Dr Fuzzby squirts them with the bottle.
>>80145821I'm glad you like it, and no problem. Good practice.>>80145871Oh I knew you meant you were ahead of me, I just forgot how far ahead you really were. ;P>>80145876I haven't got any friends on the other side of the world - all US and Canada for me!Also, I whipped up this sketch of Fox McCloud in about 15 minutes. I had the urge to draw him so I had to do it. His design is based on his Adventures depiction (my favourite version of him) thus the weird clothes. However, I decided not to draw his gloves or boots because I like drawing paws.
>>80146565>I just forgot how far ahead you really were. ;PYeah it can be rough trying to maintain contact with you lovely North Americans because of the difference, I remember that from the Zootopia 1 days. I wake up a bit earlier then back then though so I don't miss as much overnight when you all wake up.>Also, I whipped up this sketch of Fox McCloud in about 15 minutes.Oh, awesome! I like his design way more as a Zootopian-style fox. Human fingers never really looked right on him. So you're keeping his fur colour the same as the real character it looks like? >However, I decided not to draw his gloves or boots because I like drawing paws.Makes sense for a Zootopia character design anyway
>>80146670>Yeah it can be rough trying to maintain contact with you lovely North Americans because of the differenceWell I'm the sort who stays up all night (4 AM - 5 AM EST) and then sleeps all day (until 2 PM or 3 PM), I'm generally much more active here at night or in the evening.>Human fingers never really looked right on him.I agree to an extent, but I am kinda endeared to his original more human-shaped design regardless. First furry crush and all that.>So you're keeping his fur colour the same as the real character it looks like? Yeah, like Skye he has cream coloured fur, so Fox is either a corsac or a leucistic red fox... I'm betting on red with colour mutation. Maybe in universe (as my suggestion of him being an actor / model) it would make him "cooler" or more desirable.I also wasn't sure how to convert his boots to something that would look right on paws shaped like that, and yeah, in Zootopia none of the animals seem to ever wear shoes.I like this sketch so much, I think I will colour it later. It will be the first of all of the MS Paint sketches I posted to get a full colour treatment. I may even draw some solo NSFW with this design because I like how he looks so much lolNow I gotta do Krystal. But that really will be later.
>>80141769>is there a fan-made comic or imagining of if the original shock collar plot had been made? This is probably the closest to what you are after (and if not, worth reading to understand some of the lore of the /ztg/ site;>https://e621.net/pools/8475

>>80146763>Well I'm the sort who stays up all night (4 AM - 5 AM EST) and then sleeps all day (until 2 PM or 3 PM)lol I remember those days, I'd probably still be doing the same were it not for needing to have a job. I actually read about something recently called the Sentinel Hypothesis that basically posits that the fact that some people are night owls may have had an evolutionary purpose, as they would've acted as the night watch in ancestral human communities.>I agree to an extent, but I am kinda endeared to his original more human-shaped design regardless. First furry crush and all that.I think his design overall is fine for the most part, his height isn't disproportionate, for example. Just the fingers kinda bother me in a "can't unsee it" sort of way.>I'm betting on red with colour mutation. Maybe in universe (as my suggestion of him being an actor / model) it would make him "cooler" or more desirable. That would be an interesting way to explain it and also expand the lore since there's no issues with natural colour mutations existing in Zootopia that I can think of.>I may even draw some solo NSFW with this design because I like how he looks so much lolHaha, by all means. I can't imagine there'd be many complaints if you did that (apart from the usual schizos)>Now I gotta do Krystal.I'd like to know how you're gonna explain the elephant in the room there lol
