I’m 26, almost 27. My parents are getting older. My dad is 64 and has knee problems. My mom is 59, has liver issues, is often tired, and her eyesight is starting to fail. I work and study now instead of just studying full-time. I miss my old life, where I only focused on studying. I’m unsure what comes next. Right now, I’m focused on finishing my degree, saving money, and trying to get a better job. My parents tell me not to worry and to focus on work, saving money, finishing my degree, and staying healthy, but I feel like I should be doing more. What would you do in my position? What practical steps should I be taking right now to help my parents in the future?

>>80198840Pretty much this, you're not wasting time or money. Working AND studying is already plenty. If you live in the same place you can maybe help them with chores once in a while but otherwise you shouldn't sweat it.
>>80198840That's a good plan, but not a long term one. More like a short to medium term plan.
>>80199893OP did ask for steps to take right now. Getting a decent job would help him be able to support them.
>>80199983OP here. I have a job, but I'm barely paid above minimum wage. I tried to apply to other jobs, but they either ask for more experience than I have right now or pay less than I'm getting paid right now.
>>80200914The way to get more experience is to work and if you want a better paying job getting a degree helps a lot.Is your current job just something to get money or it is an entry to the field your are studying? For example if you work at a fast-food and want to get into IT then getting an entry level job into IT that pays less makes sense.
