I have a serious question, /trash/. I’m an artist who wants to make an art account across other platformers, typical stuff and all. But there’s this sudden rise of doxxing artists, game devs, etc by shartyniggers. But it’s happening left and right that I just wanna ask this.

Exactly, how do you get ‘doxxed’ by troons and sharties? Do they just hack your account by dming you with a link or they just try to hack in your account and find the location of your ip without needing to login to my account? I really wanna make some art and become a indie dev someday but these needless doxxing and outrage from sharties, like that incest twin game dev, are so loud and autistic that it’s hard to keep up and how to prevent it. I have a twitter/X account already but I’m not sure if I’m already screwed to begin with and I’m ‘bound to get doxxed’ regardless that on how ‘based’ I am for hating trannies. How do I avoid and protect myself being doxxed?

piss poor OPSEC. pretty much every single time
>>
>>80303770
So how do I check my OPspec if it’s good or poor? I don’t put my name or address. I’m always keep secretive. Is that good enough for better OPspec?

The only Bad OPspec I can think off is that Undertow guy. Apperently, he puts his real name in credits for Ruby Quest: Undertow. I guess you just don’t put your name on paypal and just stick with your username?

So, I have 3 Gmail accounts. One is for everyday normal sign ups and sign ins to apply a job, 2nd is for nsfw furry porn, and 3rd is for hardcore nsfl porn nothing illegal mind you just weird porn. I also made sure they’re all not link next to each other. but let’s just one of my accounts was ‘hacked’ or whatever how people get to your gmail accounts, do they also see other gmail accounts that is associated with my main accounts that I created using my phone or pc that I used to create them?
>>

My recommendation is to just use different services
I do so, I have a Tuta mail I use for one part of my internet activities, Proton for others, own-domain for a third.

Has there been any incidents where people got doxxed and something bad happened to em?
>>80304767
That didn’t answer my question but i appreciate the recommend, but that’s too much work for something I wanna jack off to weird furry shit. I guess I’ll just delete my nsfw furry gmail accounts? Will that help me feel secured?

So apparently if you DON’T share your email in general, you’re all good?

- Don't reuse accounts, usernames, passwords, phone numbers or emails that you have used for personal and sensitive purposes. Invent a new nickname and make accounts using an email that you haven't used before.
- Phones are harder to replace than emails and can be used to determine your general location, so never use a phone to open an account. Gmail and Outlook require a phone to make new emails, so use something else.
- NEVER use your personal/work/artist email/phone/accounts on shady sites or services that you don't plan to use frequently. Use temporary mail services or keep a throwaway email/account for these things.
- NEVER reveal a single bit about your past, not even your country or birthday. Even the smallest detail makes it much easier for schizos to locate you. Because of this, avoid using an artistic name inspired by old nicknames and telling friends that you are an artist.
- Avoid Discord, Matrix, Session and similar groups at all costs. That's where the most obsessive schizos and psychos congregate and where idiots usually spill the beans and talk about personal and incriminatory things.
- If you plan to do commissions or charge for your art, try to reduce the amount of personal info you need to give to these payment services, and again use emails and names not associated with your private life.
- If you will specialize in fringe content (like loli, shota, cubs and zoo), upload such things in platforms that outright allow it like Pixiv, Baraag and Inkbunny, and avoid posting anything tangentially related to it on normalfag places like Twitter. If you really want to show that content on these places, post SFW or cropped versions with links to the full deal.
- Use linktr.ee or caard to link your alt accounts, and keep the same name across them to make yourself recognizable.
- Don't be a cunt about having your art reuploaded on boorus. They are free ads and you can make accounts there to upload your stuff directly.

Oh finally! Something I can read and take the time to think.
>Phones are harder to replace than emails and can be used to determine your general location, so never use a phone to open an account. Gmail and Outlook require a phone to make new emails, so use something else.
Oh… I always use my phone to open gmail accounts since 2014. I’m getting a NEW phone this coming week. Do I still have a second chance?
>If you plan to do commissions or charge for your art, try to reduce the amount of personal info you need to give to these payment services, and again use emails and names not associated with your private life
Let me check my paypal account and see where I signed up on. Oof, it’s my own main gmail account. Is there a way to change email address to a more? Or I’m screwed? Damn I’m getting reckless here. Ok after reading all this, I might need to fix things up. How screwed am I?
>>
>>80303641
As already mentioned, it's all about OPSEC. All it takes is one mistake. There can only be a list of how someone else has been doxxed, the ways you can fathomly be doxxed are basically infinite. Anything photographic, especially outside? Potentially game over. Time to get to nearest fast food chain, especially if named? RIP. Paypal on email you've used else where? Get ready to be swatted. Some specific way you phrase your posts? It better not be unique.
Basically, you can never be too schizo. Every word, every pixel you post must not be correlatable beyond a reasonable doubt. Aint no body gonna need to break into your accounts to see what you've published yourself.

>Let me check my paypal account and see where I signed up on. Oof, it’s my own main gmail account. Is there a way to change email address to a more? Or I’m screwed?
Unless you can change how your hands draw, yes, it's probably gg at this point. Or you can try signing up under a different email and pray that no one ever makes the connection.
>>
>>80306838
I'm not the OP, but I am someone who has a personal mail for my IRL stuff and a old as fuck GMail account which was mainly used for old games and a Discord account I barely ever use. Never used my real name for said GMail account. Would it still be safe to link said GMail account with a payment service to commission basic furry art with?

Don’t worry, I don’t do selfies or tell my personal life so I’m good. However…
>Paypal on email you've used else where?
Nah, just my main typically normal sfw gmail account :p I only use it for that purpose only.

Ok, so Paypal does allow changing Email Address. I just need to remove it because it has my dog’s name on it and add and replace it with my ‘Art buisness name’ email account. Not sure if you guys think it’s effective.

Anything else, I need to be aware of?

>Oh… I always use my phone to open gmail accounts since 2014.
Review your accounts. Close the ones you haven't used in years (since they could be part of a data breach of one of the services/communities you used long ago), and change the details (names, addresses, phone, recovery emails) of the rest to make it harder to establish a connection between them.
>I’m getting a NEW phone this coming week. Do I still have a second chance?
Will that phone replace your current one? If so, avoid using it for things that could put you in a bad light (like your artist account or places where you ERP), and don't forget to update your details in every account you own to remove the old one.
If the phone number will complement your current one, use it for its originally intended purpose (separate personal and work contacts, create accounts for your art, stalk people, receive spam from shady sites) and nothing else. Buy as many numbers as necessary.
>Let me check my paypal account and see where I signed up on. Oof, it’s my own main gmail account. Is there a way to change email address to a more? Or I’m screwed?
I don't use Paypal or similar services, so I can't help you with this. IMO you should make a new account, maybe in a different service, with unique details to dissociate your digital identity from your personal one.
>Damn I’m getting reckless here. Ok after reading all this, I might need to fix things up. How screwed am I?
Depends on how much effort you put into separating your private life from the rest.

>>80307356
IMO you should make a new email, just in case you said something "bad" in the accounts used with your old one and some nigger tries to dig through your old stuff to "cancel" you.
I have two personal mails, a professional mail and 3 throwaway accounts for different purposes, all with different names and on different services.
>>
>>80307406
The problem with changing an email is that now a dedicated autist can link 2 emails together (well, I'm assuming you've already did business with the previous one).
Always be careful when pivoting to a different service. Someone suggests "hopping over to discord" or similar? Be very careful what kind of account you allow to be linked together. Even if the person you intend to talk to is completely well intended, NEETS with infinite time can dig up some crusty old screenshot and make the connection you never wanted to happen.
>>
>>80307406
Never ever post photos taken from your home or the near neighborhood online. Or even better, don't post photos from IRL locations from your province or country ever. Posting photos taken from your home is the main way sharties can get a trail on you. It gets a lot harder for them if they do not have a single lead to start with, and it is way harder to link someone's posting style to someone else if they aren't completely obvious in their writing styles.
>>
>>80307557
No photos PERIOD. Even if you scrub all metadata there's chance the kind of the camera is distinct enough to be a data point on its own.
>>
>>80307480
I've been always a ghost on the few Discords I have been in, and the last forum I was positing on went out of business years ago. If someone with a grudge is holding it out for me, they would have had to sit on some screenshots from said forum when it was online like ten years ago to an account not even linked to said GMail, and even then, it would be a stretch given how common my username was in hindsight.
>>
>>80307641
Does cutting, copying and pasting the original photo across several basic editing programs shred the metadata or not? Because unless you make photos from a specialized photo camera, I doubt it would be that easy telling phone cameras apart from each other.
>>
>>80307480
I guess I can create a email account that is exclusive to publishing and selling my indie game in the future.

Yeesh so much to unpack. Let me eat first. Even if I don’t follow these footsteps, I just have at least not act like a lolcow and do what Toby Fox do. Be formal and just retweet furry stuff.
>>
>>80307650
Making a new email is safer. There are multiple providers that don't require a phone or more personal data, unlike Outlook and Gmail. Terminally online faggots like sharty teens and kiwitroons are infamous for digging through old as fuck messages from at first glance completely unrelated accounts. Another advantage of starting fresh is that you don't have to worry about potential data breaches from old forums.

>>80307748
>I guess I can create a email account that is exclusive to publishing and selling my indie game in the future.
That's the ideal for when you get a job in general. Getting a new email (and a new phone) with a professional name that is only used for talking with co-workers and clients. Doing this saves you lots of headaches.
