An expanded world would have been cooler if they showed more than just Hinamizawa.In one of the later seasons they had some Japanese government scientist drop an exposition bomb on the audience where they were like, "yeah, all of the world is infected by brain parasites and all cultural and political differences between countries and regions are due to different strains of parasites." You just can't say that as an offhand remark and never follow up on it. Unique and memorable, but not a show that I'd rewatch.
