>>80447069It's a fucking twilight zone moment trying to explain to people the sheer level of Mald BTGanon was having over Animus. For some reason, he just couldn't comprehend the idea that most anons have zero interest in indulging a misery-porn fantasy and would instead overwhelmingly choose the "Make your life better" options.
>>80447220Anon are you suffering from false memory syndrome? Desu archives both /trash/ and /tg/. You can go back to the original Animus posts and see that this just isn't true.
>>80447461>Desu archives both /trash/ and /tg/.Huh. I never even considered this possibility, opting instead for 4plebs whenever I wanted to find something that was once on the blue board.

>>80447461Look at reddit. He went full mask-off there>>80447645>He already repeated recently its because the narrator just turned out to be a actually strong option so he had to nerf it.That was him creating a justification in post after he schizoed out during the original release. You literally look back at both the Desu And Reddit posts to see he was 100% malding because he didn't like that everyone was choosing to save the narrator rather than kill her for misery porn. He openly admits this in the original posts.
>>80447923>he was 100% malding because he didn't like that everyone was choosing to save the narratorYou can also see in Desu that he tried threatening to increase the price again when anons called him out on going schizo, but only ended up getting clowned on when anons dared him to do it instead of capitulating like cucks.
This anon has some kind of autistic fixation with a persecution complex over Animus, dude just brings it up unprompted.

>>80448067I think a lot of them have this really spoiled idea that if they complain enough they always get their way, so even though the CYOA is years old he expects it to eventually nerf the cost or something.
>>80447923I just ctrl+f'd his username to skip through all his replies on reddit and it's all just answering mechanics or lore questions. He doesn't comment on any builds, positively or negatively. Also gives exactly the same explanation for the narrator nerf back then too.
>>80448327The fuck retarded bullshit are you on about? No one is thinking that complaining will get the author to revive an old cyoa. People complain because there are things wrong with the cyoa, they don't expect anyone to fix it.

>>80449382It's like Tentacle Realm but made by Crux instead of Apo.>>80449180Pepperridge Farm remembers.
>>80449382it's someone else's derivative of Tentacle Realm, one that not-so-jokingly might just make it out before the next full version of Tentacle Realm.
>>80449467>>80449476>TR but not full of tentaclesFuck yeah.
>>80449490>but not full of tentaclesNta but where did you get that? I would be really interested if that was the case but I don't want to get my hopes up.
>>80449606I mean, if it's full of tentacles, then it's literally just TR.I like "extra large Isekai CYOA" similar to Harahel, but really did not care for Harahel's overall character system that much.I fucking love TR's character building system, world building too, but abhor tentacles and a lot of content for that is going to be about tentacle monsters, which is a huge turnoff. So I assume it's not going to be filled with tentacles because it's not in the name. The term "encroached" generally implies that something has crept up on something else and is eating up or otherwise taking over the other thing. In this case, it sounds like worlds colliding or an adjacent plane of reality tearing holes into the mortal realm.Could even just be a world-ending horror slowly eating the world, like in Modeseven's Concession comic.
>>80449747And if it is full of tentacles, then I'll just be sad.Just like how I was sad when the first major content addition to Church of the Divine Rod.. was tentacles. And the second one was femboys (I wanna be, not bang them damnit).
>>80449606from what previews I saw, there are less tentacles within said sections; but if you only looked at the aura page, the class pages, and around half of the powers section of part one of Tentacle Realms then you too would think that there weren't all that many tentacles involved despite the name.
>>80449794or, to put it another way, there currently seems to be less tentacles involved, but there is also not enough that ever made it to public view to actually say one way or another.also, it's a different name, so that suggests a different core theme.but at the same time, it was explicitly made to be sort of another version of Tentacle Realms, so that suggests that there very much are allot of tentacles involved, to some extent, somewhere.
>>80449747>I fucking love TR's character building system, world building too, but abhor tentaclesMe too. To a degree I guess, I don't mind some tentacles, but TR is specifically about tentacles going in as many holes as possible and generally parassite stuff, which is what I find really disgusting.>>80449763>(I wanna be, not bang them damnit).I don't want to have anything to do with them in either role personally, but I'm pretty sure you can be one in the base cyoa too. I remember the Rapunzel modification and a couple of things that make you more similar to the priestesses so the pieces are there, you just need to assemble them.>>80449794Most of the tentacles are in the bestiaries, but if you read all of it you can tell that tentacles are supposed to be very prominent in at least some part of the world. Because of how TR is structured you do have the option to minimize tentacle contact, and even to specialize into being a tentacle killer. That freedom is something I really like in cyoas, but I would prefer not having to wage war on reality itself to enjoy my adventure if given the choice.
>>80450034>but I'm pretty sure you can be one in the base cyoa tooCorrect. You can already be one, so one all about femboys (and my choices are to skip it and break a dude's heart or bang a dude instead of the woefully missing power dynamic of being bros) is utterly pointless to me is my point, yeah.
>>80449763You literaly can be a femboy while chosing to not play the add-onAt this point you are just making up reasons to be mad

>>80450385Anons last post was about need to be AFT for a while. It'd be hilarious if he posts the complete genie sometime next week after everyone assumed he was dead. Probably not gonna happen though.
>>80449606There's not that many tentacles, except in the sense that it's so big there's a lot of everything.. You'd have to specifically pick tentacle-oriented options to have a lot of tentacles involved.>>80449747Yeah, it's intended to be a big isekai in general, like TR, like Harahel, like Divine Trials and like Fixing God's Fuckups too for that matter. It uses a core system similar to TR, particularly the points/corruption system with panic and relax options and the race system, though there's a lot of stuff I didn't care for that much which is cut and a lot of little options of my own invention added. There are also classes and skills instead of powers, although that's kind of the same thing but a bit more structured.>it sounds like worlds colliding It's that. There's like 16ish realms involved depending on how you count it, including both encroached and encroaching realms. Mutations are organized according to the realm that they originate from, though there's no mechanics involved because keeping track of a dozen different corruption stats wouldn't be fun.
>>80450512>>80449863It's another version of TR only in that I consider TR a good system chassis to build on. In terms of the content, there are nods to TR stuff but also to lots of other CYOAs too – and that stuff is mostly on the level of cameos, the majority of content is original.>>80450034I haven't done anything bestiary-related yet, but there will probably still be some tentacle-related stuff there. If you don't like it you can always kill them or not go where they live, but I did find some of the TR parasites very hot.>>80450214I didn't include any colors I thought were ugly. >>80450512>>80450532Yeah, this sounds fucking awesome. Also lines up nicely with a power fantasy web novel I've been reading which has a vaguely similar major plot point. But sadly, spoiling that fact alone is sad, so I won't be reccing it here. :^)

>>80450532>Anything in particular that people are curious about?Cheats, races, classes, and skills. In short, our powers.
>>80450532>If you don't like it you can always kill them or not go where they live,Can we have the blacklist like in TR so they just straight up don't exist? You can frame it as cutting off the access of that dimension or something, since there are 16 of them. That was a very good addition to TR, even if in that one the blacklist probably isn't enough to get rid of all tentacles, in this one it should be.
>>80450950>You can frame it as cutting off the access of that dimension or something, since there are 16 of themIn general the option to just refuse some of the realms would be appreciated.
>>80450816That doesn't sound like a bad color combo to me. I feel like it should be less necessary the way this is designed than with TR though>there are 16 of themLike 16-20, some are weird in ways that makes the count subjective.
>>80451681>That's like half the CYOACheats then. They're probably what builds will be built around.
>>80451681>That doesn't sound like a bad color combo to me.Eh. I don't like it. Especially amber. Meh color.>Greed and envy?...We can pick which domain we want in a color? We don't have to have both domains of a color?Oh, and nope, I want freedom and purity more than greed and envy.
>>80451681>. I feel like it should be less necessary the way this is designed than with TR thoughI think it's still necessary. You are underestimating how fetishes work.
>>80451681It's not necessary in TR either. Taking up half a page for nothing of substance there. I fail to see why these people can't just kill or avoid shit they don't like like you said. Unimaginativeness? Autism? Stupidity?
>>80451873Read the text above the list of colors. I tried to keep it concise but there's still cases where you need to know where things work>>80451697Right now the cheats are Immortality (similar to in Divine Trials), Bloodline (similar to the CYOA I made around that theme some years ago), and Inner World, which is the only one of the three that is fully complete so I've attached that page now.

>>80452113>Read the text above the list of colors....
>>80449074Subtlety ought to be a skill instead of a stat.
>>80450532I recall theorycrafting how to CardCaptor in TR, but I see yours has it built in so I don't have to try to hammer it in with some Fate-Mark Mage-Line Ritual-Tattoo combos.
>>80452429>how to CardCaptor in TRHow? Libromancy I assume? Thats the summoning spell that register monsters into pages right?
>>80452763You could transmogrify people into living objects in the newest version.
>>80449074How many classes is a player expected to more or less have their full kit?
>>80452179from what i understand after reading description, Qi scales with wisdom, used tomanipulate basic elements, and do fancy combat tricks. Basically the super meter from a fighting game, except it regenerates passively.Mana scales with soul, used to make enchantments, and control summons. Basically MTG but instead of lands you use an internal mana bar like it's Dota or something
>>80453019Mana can also control elements. For physical matters, mana can enchant. So mana can do the same as qi. But conversely, since elements are the foundation of reality, doesn't this mean that qi can also do the same as magic?
>>80452179Qi is typically life energy that fuels the body and serves as a bridge between the body and the soul, which can be used to enhance both, commit miracles, and eventually ascend. Mana tends to be an external or internal energy used exclusively for spellwork. Some settings make them the same thing or let you connect one to the other, or else have mana do what qi does or let qi cast explicit spells, but that's the general difference.
>>80452113Pardon the legibility, it's exported at half the intended size for some reason and I'm on my laptop so I'm encountering difficulties.>>80452179Checking the stat page again I see it's not explained that clearly. Qi is non-physical but tied to the physical, it's used by classes like monks and spirit warriors, as well as cultivators. It is within your body and the natural world. Mana is straight up magic, and is generated from your mind and soul, and flows from the void beyond the stars. It's used mostly for effects that are independent of your person, and intricate, lasting effects. Arcanists, architects, and artillery evokers are mana users. Qi can also be thought of as half way between mana and stamina.>>80452254We've all done it at some point I'm sure.>>80452336I think you perhaps don't fully understand the system.>>80452429Yeah, I posted my list of classes about half a year ago, for feedback, and summoners were the main thing people mentioned wanting that I didn't have. Cardcaptors and self-priests are designed to fill that hole.
>>80452974There's not really a limit, as classes are pretty much just root skills that serve as prerequisite for other related skills. You can have as many as you have the points for, and you can stack drawbacks to get more points to a considerable degree, only a bit less than TR. But I expect most people will focus on two or three, because presumably the things you want to be good at the most aren't totally unrelated. And you can get a few skills from other classes, bypassing prerequisites, from your race, for those splashes of other ability that round out your skillset.>>80453019From a purely combat and stats perspective, this is about right.>>80453178Just as in real life, it is possible to do most things multiple ways, but some ways are different than others. If you wanted to enhance your body using mana, it would require careful study and would be incredibly difficult to pull off without hurting yourself. On the other hand, making conditional enchantments with qi would require a nearly divine level of finesse even though it would technically be possible.>>80453257Using them interchangeably is a a divine skill in this. Possible but priced as a cheat, since it basically is
>>80451681>Currently I haven't added or drafted anything like that, but I guess I couldYou should, it's a good option to have. Not just for tentacles, many things are better behind a toggle in porn.
>>80451873>Bro doesn't want envy for motivation
>>80449074Since there's a cultivator class, I presume there are cultivation realms.
>>80453964It's a little basic compared to a dedicated xianxia CYOA, but if you take that class you can condense your qi, form a gold core, and reach the level of nascent soul. Going much beyond that would take you to the level of divinity, which is beyond the scope of this project.
>>80452113>Bloodline (similar to the CYOA I made around that theme some years ago)This one?
>>80449074How come Spirit Champion uses qi instead of mana? Do people have both a spirit and a soul? And they different?
>>80454130Yep, though it's quite a bit simplified compared to that
>>80454047>Going much beyond that would take you to the level of divinity>Immortals are on the same level as the "gods" of this setting.https://www.youtube.com/shorts/APxDijENMV0
>>80454720In most cultivation settings and even in many forms of ancient daoism that's literally what a divinity is, just someone who's been cultivating for long enough.
>>80454733No actually. In Daoism and most chinese cultivation, Gods are actually several tiers above regular immortals. This goes as far back as the actual religion itself.I can recommend a good manhua that actually close to old daoism if you have a weekend to burn.
>>80454789>close to old daoism*As far as how things are ranked.Obviously there's going to be some very hard breaks from actual daoist practice when it comes to cultivating, since cultivation is almost the exact opposite of how religious daoism is practiced.
whatever immortality is cringe
>>80454720Attaining a degree of divinity isn't necessarily enough to be a full god. There are 27 gods. I guess I could post them all if people want, it's only three pages. But the gods in this setting are relatively weak on the scale of gods across mythology. Probably above norse and gaelic tier but not by much – there is a gigantomachy mechanic, for example, and one of the start scenarios is multiplayer battle royale which will get you the first step into godhood as the prize. In fact, bits of divinity are your cheat currency.
>>80454909You dumbass the point isn't that immortality is cringe the point is that doing the bullshit they did for immortality as a shriveled up prune who only watches hongleak as a way to pass the time because you locked yourself up in the ultimate neet cave is not a worthy immortality and has no point
>>80454829How was it opposite?
>>80455916fuck off yeye
>>80456034yeye?
>>80456019Actual Daoism focuses on being a good person, not commiting violence, not coveting wealth, etc, and took on elements of buddhist/vedic faith that spoke about not falling into the endless cycles of violence or pursuing personal power(because reality is an illusion and the only way to escape is enlightenment).Literally the opposite of how any xianxia cultivator acts.
>>80456313Seeking oblivion is cringe.
>>80447923I made a build then and remember him being fine with it. He didn't nerf the "save her" option but rather increased the points for the opposite choice, where you burn her, which helped my build. The option where you helped her die peacefully stayed the same from what I remember.Anons called me a monster back then for burning her. She asked for it, anon, and I need the points to survive. I had no choice.

>>80458554Anon came from /cyoag/, saw that it was about becoming a lesbian, and decided that the title was not ironic.
>>80458594The world is miserable in that one. It's irritating.
>>80458759You don't need to be from cyoag to not want to be a girl.
>>80458803No, but it might help you realize that he made a lot of CYOAs.
>>80458915I know all cyoas he made and the only ones that are not shit are Gifted and Supersoldier. everything else is poisoned by miseryporn.

>>80460521It depends. At least three, but right now you can cheese it so the way up to seven. They mostly come from starting options.

I'm too lazy to figure out the google sheet, but I noticed two 404s in the interactive index that'd be pretty easy to fix for whoever has access.Right now "A Goblin Girl" directs to>https://tadstrange42.neocities.org/A Goblin's World/(This is a 404)It should direct to>https://tadstrange42.neocities.org/A Goblins World/So just remove the ' and the link is good to go.And since PokeWaifu uses versioning in the url, it needs to be updated from>https://dandelionrye.neocities.org/PokewaifupickerV1.7/(This is a 404)to>https://dandelionrye.neocities.org/PokewaifupickerV1.9/(The current working version)Cheers

>>80452763I was planning to do dimensional magic things to give a card a pocket dimension within which to trap people. But while that stuff does exist, it was quite expensive and seemed to suggest you couldn't have more than one. I was thinking of maybe doing ritual tattoo things, since if you were to make standalone card based oubilettes it would probably be atleast one ritual, maybe two with one for making the card that can hold a dimension in it and one that can make the dimension and maybe even a third to make them especially habitable and comfy, and then I could make my body into a card captory machine.
>>80462825>>80452763>>80452862Oh, but while there're a couple of 'transmute anything into anything theoretically' powers, I didn't want those because they weren't specific enough. Haven't read the new one, but if it can turn someone into anything and not just into cards I can take people in and out of I don't want it.

A "bully" figures out the "Not a girl" secret and gently torments me for it, all the way until we get married and she somehow gets me pregnant.
