Hello /scaly/ I come bring the latest release of the VNThere's plenty of new content and changes in this one! To start, all of the Jamie sprites are in (with massive kudos to Lizardanon as well for the great work!) Also, the photo placeholders are in. Not all of the backgrounds have been replaced yet (such as the bar/player apartment interiors among others) but it's a good start. The ones I haven't replaced are pretty generic so I will continue using stock photos for those for the time being. I also want to sketch out the backgrounds for the Claw; since I'll be basing it on a blent of several pubs/bars.It'll also be pretty obvious from the photos that the location I chose as "Nathport" and travelled to is Glasgow in the United Kingdom. Decided to give book 14 of WoF a try, even though the story supposedly takes a massive nosedive in the last two books.I can see why people think so and the whole book admittedly felt like a big side story.It progressed the main story very little and seemingly existed mostly to explain what's going to happen in book 15.However I still think Snowfall was an enjoyable character and it's nice how the vision ultimately ended up making her a better queen.Still, its a bit sad that this probably means that the Icewings are slowly going to move away from their royale rankings etc.I think that made them quite unique and really fit their tribe.However the thing that saved the whole book was Jerboas story at the end.How does Tui constantly end up making side characters the most interesting characters in the books?Like at first I felt bad for the original Jerboa, like many of the other animus she was apparently forced by the current Sandwing queen to use her powers to her liking.After finally deciding to escape she wants nothing but a happy life and it feels like she still very much as a voice of reason not wanting to abuse her animus magic.However the things that she then does to Boa are probably even worse than what Darkstalker tried to do with Fierceteeth and eventually that second voice is fully gone.After literal centuries, Boa manages to trick Jerboa and escape her prison.But before that Jerboa manages to curse her with one last animus spell and it seems like Tui once again forgot this was a children novel.How does one even come up with something like slowly cutting of somebodies body parts whenever they cast magic??I honestly just felt terrible for Boa after she realizes what happened.Because of this it also makes sense to what she did to Animus magic (and is an easy way to fix the flaws of unrestricted magic in the books).Still feel bad for Turtle though, now he can no longer be lazy by just using magic for everything.
