General for discussion of Human Domestication Guide & related fiction.

blobfinni edish

>What is HDG?
HDG is a collective kink writing project about the Affini (an advanced precursor civilization from outer space), who aggressively care for every other species in the universe. They have finally turned their glittery eyes on future grimderp hypercapitalist nightmare humanity. Using their natural charisma and various classes of Xenodrugs, they aim to make Florets (d̶o̶c̶i̶l̶e̶,̶ ̶d̶r̶u̶g̶ ̶a̶d̶d̶l̶e̶d̶ ̶p̶e̶t̶s̶ loved and cared for individuals) of us all! But don't worry, they always have everyone's best interests at heart, even if their methods aren't even remotely consensual~

The playdate wasn't what I thought it was; it was with Her Most Royal Highness - an affini floret I'm friends with. Mistress was a little concerned Her Most Royal Highness would be a bit rough with a fellow floret and wanted the As to take the edge off, and Ns to make sure we didn't get into a cycle where Her Most Royal Highness gets me horny and then gets more intense and then response from me gets Her Most Royal Highness more brazen.

I have seventeen life-sized blobfinni plushies. I didn't want them or ask for them, they just showed up in my hab one by one over time. I think this is some kind of shenanigan happening in slow motion.
>>
>>80459804
Cute. Have you named them?
>>
>>80460039
They don't deserve names. Except for Fuckface, the one I keep in front of the door so I can full speed running tackle it every time I get home, and Dickbreath, the one I have strategically wedged under my couch so that when Fuckface falls over and I bounce off of it I fly safely into the soft, plush embrace of Dickbreath instead of the hard edge of a piece of furniture and bust my head open again.
>>
>>80460292
wow I can't believe you named them fuckface
you should be domesticated for that alone
>>
>>80460292
Wouldn't you like them to have nice names, anon? I'm sure someone worked very hard on them :<
>>
>>80461535
I'm pretty sure they're compiled. They're all exactly the same, with the only minor differences between them being small bits of battle damage from being tackled or jumped on. It's part of the reason I suspect that an Affini might not actually be responsible; if an Affini was doing this they'd probably be making them by hand. Vine. Whatever. Maybe the first one was and the creator just had their compiler make copies, I dunno.
>>
>>80461781
If it is an affini then it clearly isn't a serious flirt if they're compiled.
>>
>>80461781
>compiled
>not even class C imbued

Blegh, yeah prolly nothing to worry about on the 'is this ffini' front.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with compiled stuff :< it's not as if it's lower quality
>>
>>80468996
I mean... maybe it's cause almost nothing I've touched since moving in with Mistress has been compiled, but I've been losing my taste for it. Point being, if it was an affini trying to get you, they'd almost certainly make them by vine.

if she started swapping out hand-made stuff with stuff straight from the compiler, no way you'd be able to tell the difference.
>>

I've gone missing five times over the course of my life. I tried again after the Compact invaded, but the Affini who lived next to me tracked me down in less than a day so that she could bring me soup.

I'm... so sorry, do-do you need a hug?

>>80472359
That was sweet of her, did you thank her?
>>
>>80472606
the affini do *everything* uncannily perfectly...
>>
>>80473548
Not the way compilers do. Affini perfection is defined in relation to the ones they love, compiler is defined in relation to what is correct.

>look at Mistress, unsure
>'The cutie's not even class Ws, he just seems to think he can't be controlled if he never communicates with us'
>introduce myself
>he growls in response
>think for a moment
>ask if he wants to play catch
>he bares his teeth, but stops immediately when his owner gives him a Look
>meekly nods yes
>we throw a ball and forth for a wall
>he's calming down a bit, maybe even having fun
>he misses a catch
>immediately bolts after it on all fours, a crazed look of glee on his face
>well, if the barking wasn't enough to clue me in before, now I was sure the kind of floret he'd end up being
>done in by 'fetch' of all things.

Not sure if egg joke or a “can’t tell the gender of another species” joke, maybe it’s both

Do you think the affini would have a problem with an indie whiling away most of their time on the overweb, playing games, watching media and posting to forums?

Cause like, one *one* hand... behavior like that need not be strictly "unhealthy", yea? I can get all my nutrition, stay hygenic mostly, even maintain my "social needs" by going out with old friends once a week and having some beers.
So all the basic wellbeing tripwires are avoided, yea? Regularly leave the house, reasonably healthy, not miserable.

... but on the other, if anyone took a deeper interest, would they really conclude "yea thats fine ::)"?
Most *terrans*, anyways, would say that that seems like a drab and boring existance, no matter how much you insist that you dont mind.

Realy, its not any more concerning than getting high and cuddling all day, to my mind. If they're okay with mindlessly drab by terran standarts existances like that -not to mention the dolls, shudder- then surely this would be tolerable?

And yet, i cant shake the feeling that someone will take issue with the lack of motivation to pursue anything "meaningful" or have some sort of extravagant hobby now that scarcity is gone, or slut it up all day, or whatever.
But how would i tell, ultimately, if thats a correct thought to have - or if its just the remnants of terran "you have to be usefull to justify your existance" culture, stuck in the old gnoggin?
>>
>>80477974
Probabbly both?
Considering this is HDG theres almost surely an egg joke in there. Pretty much anyone wearing the uniform of the terran comsic navy can be assumed to be a giant egg, afterall.
>>
>>80478001
Especially if you're getting on good with your social circle, the affini would be fine with you whiling away your days gaming. Do expect them to keep a close eye on how you're doing though; don't be surprised if you get a meet-cute in the future.
>>
You know
I doubt i could ever get over myself enough to actually go volunteer
But it'd probably be best
As much as existential dread and pride are things that'd have to be overcome...
Thats probably worth it to never feel bad or even bored and listless anymore, ever
like shit man, im not even depressed by any reasonable standard, but man being able to feel *good* without doubts or that ever nagging worry and unease at the back of the mind and soul...?
Yea that sounds like a good deal realy

>You tap away at the controller, cast only in the light of the glow of the television
>You breathe a sigh of relief as the boss you've struggled with for the last two hours finally falls
>You look up to the Affini who's lap you're sitting in, to see her reaction
>She's motionless
>The vines making up her body have somewhat disarticulated, making her resemble a bush more than a person, and her mask has literally slipped
>She's asleep
>You suppress your excitement so as to not wake her, and turn back to the screen to continue
>But its getting late
>You yawn
>The vines wrapped around your abdomen gently tighten, as if by instinct
>You blink the sleep out of your eyes and keep playing
>Just one more level
