I saw Cabbie was getting a surprising amount of love in the MLP/EQG request box this month. It's nice to see people showing an interest in her. I think it's the pink. Hair. Pink hair.I've got some ideas that would be fun to write out if there's time. Hope you all are doing well, too.
One of the things I'd like to do for the Christmas Carol-inspired story is to get some players who don't have a lot of screen time as the supporting cast. Obvious Tempest Shadow is the lead, but I think incorporating the Dazzlings as the 'spirits' would be fun. Except instead of them coming one at at time, they all show up at once and the other two just kind of hang out and act as the peanut gallery and eat Tempest's food, and also keep Sonata on track during her segment.

>>80471891I did a little bit where they have a minor interaction with the Flim-Flam brothers and a short that was unconcerned with the overarching plot where the Sirens feed off lust like succubi, and Adagio blows up like a bimbo balloon at the taunting of Aria & Sonata. Conceivably, they could be worked in as a stage act or performers, but they're mostly on the periphery; another victim of general cast bloat. Still my bias leans me to find ways to include them, even if they're just in the background, and maybe give them a story or two.

Here's a thought I had during the week. Rainbow Dash and AJ being haunted and influenced by ghosts of the their previous incarnations. Specifically G3 Rainbow Dash and G1 Apple Jack. Original thought of it as an idea for fantasy but it can work in the modern setting too.

I think I'm gonna end up not going through the arc quite as quickly as I wanted cause I don't want to break the flow of going to each restaurant. The poll has chosen the Chinese restaurant so that's where we'll go. I'm thinking to add some more intrigue to the mystery bit I think I want some stuff with Vinny and the Skeletons but I'm not sure where I should fit such a scene. I was thinking that broadly they go in, meet some characters, and Cal asks for some of the 'back room services' to get clues, and the head of the restaurant takes him in... for a palm reading while talking his ears off. And maybe Vinny breaks in and expects Cal for cover for him while he's up to some scheme.
