Qrow is a 40+ year old professional, probably in the top 1% of all huntsmen in Remnant in terms of skill, and Pyrrha was a first year. Prodigy, yes, but still a first year. I imagine 4th year students at Beacon could probably have beaten her, if we ever saw any in canon.
