Rook, however, isn't even looking at the Boltund, he is glaring directly at you with a sick sadistic smile on his face.

Not sure, haven't checked in on the quests this morning but we get a few tricky ones now and again. Most of them are just for some things in and around the local dungeon network. You'll find portals dotted all over town leading to all kinds of dungeons.

Yeah, my big ol' Twizzler loved my tail for some reason. I actually have a little kink in it from when she got a bit too into it and chomped it. I really milked it for all it was worth. I got so many cookies out of her after that.
But yeah, that's kind of what Rook does. He is the one that forces people to abide by their contracts. Otherwise, people would take out loans and not pay them back if their business fails, then the rich guy would hire people to "collect" and everything would just spiral out of control.

For the most part, yes. Dogs make up the majority of the upper class. There have been a few break throughs here and there, though. I mean, I managed to be included among the upper class and former humans are generally included in the upper class regardless of what they are. I'm pretty sure the Lord knows about humans, but the Nobles are exclusively dogs. I guess they are the "real" upper class. Why do you ask?

She makes the best cookies. You wouldn't think it since she has paws, but she is a natural in the kitchen. I guess kitty paws are more dextrose than mine. She even made a bunch of cakes and treats from the human world. I would tell her about them and she was able to figure them out and make them. She actually managed to make a cookie that was pretty close to an Oreo and these little cakes that blow Twinkies out of the water! I loved being her tester.

The thing is servitude can only happen via contract so it's not like you can't take out a lower risk loan, but if you agree to being indentured if you can't pay it, the loan becomes a lot more manageable so a lot of people are willing to risk it. You're not supposed to be able to keep someone endlessly. The protection laws have loopholes that the loaners have no rush to close. If Twizzle breaks something, she has to pay the value of the item back, but who decides the value? The owner if the item. Twizzle could probably be free right now if she could get a lawyer but those cost money.

Oh yeah, Dozer is probably letting everyone know exactly who is to blame for my absence. I have to be there to sign sales forms. Without me there to approve them, no sales can be made. There are a lot of companies that have best selling items that use my flowers for dyes or scents when the line does down instead of up, capitalists get pissed. Rook went after me for personal reasons so it falls on him. The longer I stay away, the more likely it becomes that someone sues him.
