It would make a lot more sense if Zestial is meant to be Alastor’s main villain in season 3 since that guy throws away Carmilla under the Lilith bus in season 2. Lilith and Zestial would try to allure Alastor to their side with the exchange being Alastor betraying Lucifer and Charlie.Alastor is confident in being the strongest sinner in Hell, and Vox bragged about being stronger than Lilith in season 2’s finale. But we know this happened because Rosie lent Alastor her power and Vox received support from Charlie to get that horrific form we see him in season 2. It would make sense if Lilith’s support of Zestial allows him to easily override this throne. Since it matters for Alastor’s very security as a person.
