Japan actually has better gender relations than people give it credit for. Their main issue with birth rates is due to insane work hours and standards. Most men and women get along fine in Japanese society and work unlike Korea where there is huge resentment from both sides. There is the issue of groping on trains but it’s rarer than most people think. The reason they made women only train cars was in response to it but the Japanese tend to be very advanced and plan around everything. Every toilet stall in the women’s restroom has a holder for babies, the toilet seats are heated, etc. If you visit you’ll notice they tend to plan for every slight inconvenience in their infrastructure which is why when groping was popping up they immediately dealt with it.
