It's part of a bigger problem with this series, there is (seemingly) build-up, but it either leads to disappointment or the screen time is given to weirder, more irrelevant things. The way it handles human emotions almost feels robotic at times, if it were a purely comedic series I wouldn't care but they clearly want you to take it seriously.
