Update: Still working on BalaharaSome of you anons may be wondering how in the world a supposedly quick, hour or two animation(lol), has turned into a weeklong project with no delivery.Let me explain with a condensed timeline of events.>Jump straight into animating Balahara>Original plan was a little 5 second or so loop of headpats>Get completely stumped trying to make it look good while dealing with the weird anatomy involved>Complicated head rig too>Decide to start over and switch to plan B: Belly rubs>Immediately discover and run into severe issues with Balahara's triple root skeleton system>Spend time problem solving and making the rig work for me>Problem solved, time to start over again!>Get a basic, short belly rub animation banged out>This is fine, but I can do better...>Spend time improving it>Which leads to the animation becoming 10 seconds long>Think of another way to improve it>Now it's 14 seconds long>While I'm at it, I should...>17 seconds longThe scope creep is real. I'm having a lot of fun with it though.>>80556736 Anon, I have to thank you for forcing me to work with the worm; it's turning out to be a great learning experience. I've picked up a few new tricks in Blender that I'll be benefitting from in every future project.I hope you're not too disappointed that it's belly rubs instead of head pats, though. In the meantime, enjoy looking at some worm tail in 60 fps.(EEVEE animation render test; only took around 0.25s per frame)
>>80687439Underrated monster. Good job anon, may you have no further trouble with capcom's fucked up assets.
>>80687439>cloaca just barely in viewThat smug worm is teasing us!
>Come on, little hunter. We have monsters to slay.
>>80686548Why is it we have never seen gigginox return?
Pesky monsters won't stop disturbing your trade routes? Deviant monsters that won't stop disturbing YOU? Have no fear then because the unbreakable, unstoppable Shield Squad is here to save your day! We'll tackle any situation, no matter how promiscuous it sounds! Our four star lineup will have you razzled AND dazzled while we take care of your irregular problems!>The leader of the squad: me! Might as well call me John Stoic because no monster breaks my lance's guard! The amount of gusto I have will knock hunters and monsters alike onto their backs! Nothing gets over my head OR shield!>The underdog of the squad: Fin! Sure, he may not be able to handle any weapon larger than his sword & shield, has paper skin and glass bones, but his heart of gold makes up for it in any encounter! Fin always has everyone's back (even if he can't physically support us)!>The squad's explosives expert: Barnabas! With his powerful gunlance and knack for all things that go boom, no sleeping monster is safe when he's on the hunt! Just be sure to speak up when around him, the man doesn't have the best ears.>Last but most certainly not least: Mort! This crazed tactician is the brains to all our brawn! Using his complex charge blade, Mort always has an answer to any unknown situation! And while deciphering that answer from him might be hard sometimes, his plans always work out in the end!
>>80687573I'm sure there's still plenty of trouble waiting for me, but it seems to get a little easier each time I encounter some.>>80687846The focus was on the tail, but I just had to sneak that into the frame as well for you anons.I was actually worried for a bit that the wormhole was going to be an issue for me, as even a slight view of it would likely get the animation labeled as NSFW.Thankfully, when you're down at the head height POV of the animation, the boot conveniently blocks out the view of it.
