>>81202651It's very simple once you understand what hiresfix actually is. Take the image, upscale it to your target resolution however you wish, push that to latent space and then sample it like i2i with a lower denoise and step count. There are also methods to upscale it in latent space, and in my case I have CNet Tile as a part of the process.That's what's nice about Comfy, it doesn't mask the process and you can influence it however you want.

>>81202785IIRC tiled encoding/decoding is for VRAM restrained scenarios. I have 24GB (used 3090 so poverty build) so I don't have a need to use it. The sampler I've basically built and put into a subgraph to be able to use model patches and whatnot, but in the end it works just like a regular KSampler. As for scaling, I recommend the Recommended Resolution Calculator node, so you set your desired output width/height, then pass the calculated width/height to the t2i sampler's empty latent to have a fitting SDXL base latent size, then you upscale the output of that with whatever you want, I use the good old Remacri ESRGAN model, and then upscale/downscale it with the calculated integer to match the final size, then after resizing you put that as the image latent for Hiresfix.I might update my example workflow to include more QoL nodes, and also update the notes within it, and maybe do some basic subgraph setup to show why they're so useful, but here's that workflow for now.https://transfer.it/t/1oqrVIlxBZLAIIRC Transfer.it deletes your shit after 30 days
Here's the same gen but from my main workflow, not much extra, a little watermark removal step and an ADetailer chain. Plus a dozen extra custom nodes for a better frontend experience.
