From my experince and research the rate can varry wildly based on location. Ships and fleets are oven heavy with florets, specialy the frontier fleets, sometimes99% florets.
Stations are a mixed bag, but often seem to tend 50/50 (espechaly where theyve renovated old terran stations rather than put up new ones.)

A while back I posted here about a guy I knew who bought a pet Rinan before the Affini invaded and then disappeared, and I just wanted to update you all. I happened to randomly run into him while I was visiting family the other day. I thought he'd fled the planet or something, but I guess he just skipped town. He didn't have the Rinan with him, and when I asked about it, he got really agitated, insisting that he had no idea what I was talking about. I was worried that he may have taken some drastic measures to not get caught with it, so later on I just kind of grabbed a random Affini off the street and told them everything. They said I did the right thing and that it would be taken care of, but that was yesterday and I haven't heard anything yet. The Affini work fast from what I've heard. Am I being impatient, or am I right to be worried? Did the worst happen, and they think I might be too sensitive to handle it? Or do they just not think keeping me in the loop is all that important since I'm not really involved?

Praising another xeno empire just because it hurts the xeno empire they hate more is hypocritical because it violates their stated belief in Terran superiority, but it's totally within human nature to do so. Got some closure on this. Turns out that he dumped the Rinan in the middle of the woods to get rid of it, and it just kinda walked out and got a hab and has been living a pretty normal life on its own. The Affini are making the guy take some sensitivity and interspecies education courses, but based on the way he's been talking about the Affini and their own pets, he's probably going to get into trouble. Am I a bad person for being a little disappointed that the outcome wasn't a little more... I don't know, exciting? or something? Maybe I'm just feeling guilty because the Rinan ended up being totally fine and I didn't need to report the guy.
