General for discussion of Human Domestication Guide & related fiction.Bring them inside edition>What is HDG?HDG is a collective kink writing project about the Affini (an advanced precursor civilization from outer space), who aggressively care for every other species in the universe. They have finally turned their glittery eyes on future grimderp hypercapitalist nightmare humanity. Using their natural charisma and various classes of Xenodrugs, they aim to make Florets (d̶o̶c̶i̶l̶e̶,̶ ̶d̶r̶u̶g̶ ̶a̶d̶d̶l̶e̶d̶ ̶p̶e̶t̶s̶ loved and cared for individuals) of us all! But don't worry, they always have everyone's best interests at heart, even if their methods aren't even remotely consensual~>Where can I read it?Read the original story here https://readonlymind.com/@GlitchyRobo/HumanDomesticationGuide/or check other stories on ROM https://readonlymind.com/search/?q=%23Human_Domestication_Guideor Ao3 https://archiveofourown.org/tags/Human%20Domestication%20Guide%20-%20GlitchyRobo/worksor the wiki: https://hdg.wiki/Thread wardshipped for latent feralism: https://desuarchive.org/trash/thread/

it's so hard to play hard to get with the plantsbecause if you think about it too hard then you start thinking that you don't want to make them feel bad by leading them on or making them sad because they couldn't get what they wantespecially when theyve spent so long chasing youbut then if you open comms and talk about this theyre gonna say something that makes you want to stop and thats a bad thing because stopping means the plant menace wins

I try to scare a floret who's worriedly staring into their implant's growing tube by telling them about how they'll cease to be a person once it's put in and how the Affini will have more control over their emotions and thoughts then they will, but I get uncomfortable and stop when I notice their growing erection. I get an email from their owner later that day thanking me for helping ease their floret's fears.

feral floret who gets put in the cage whenever they're being bad
I feel like 1/3rd of the population being florets is a disturbingly high number. And that's on the lower end of official estimates! And THAT'S of the estimates we're even allowed to know about! It all sounds like bullshit so they can claim that "a majority of Terrans are independent!" I mean, seriously, think about it, if that many people were in prison or indentured servants or ANYTHING similar under the Accord there'd be riots every damn day! But the plants can just run around and say that they own - as in treating human beings as property - one out of every three people? I don't buy it. They're doing something to us. Something they don't want us to know about.
>>81823724What kind of cage? This is important to specify you know.
>>81823799I dunno how to tell you this boss, but there *were* riots. Turns out when you've got all the resources, you monopolize even violence. People were cowed pretty quickly into falling in line and either joining up with the Navy to get a bit more breathing room with a different kind of control freak at the wheel, or working in a factory until you die, or just the latter. Dying was a choice.
>>81823885human sized dog kennel
>>81823799frankly 1/3rd seems a little low for takers on the unconditional love and affection train
>>81823973>>81823799Actualy a third is the *middle* of the range, isnt it? I thought the number was "20-40%">>81823891This also btwThere *were* riots and full on colony revolts near constantly in the accord. They generaly chose the chineese solution.
>>81823891>>81824173The few riots I remember were over rationing and shit, not recruitment (conscription?) rates. Guess things were different on more populated worlds.>>81823973I would hope more than 60% of people wouldn't be interested in having a parasite to control their thoughts, yeah. Call it whatever you want, that sounds horrifying.
>>81824471Free will is overated, I am loved and will always be loved, it is a precious and kind and caring and endless love, the kind I can pour myself into endlessly and be greeted by in turn, I love mistress so much
>>81823534following a feral breaker around doing a live stream reacting like a sports commentator
>>81825007But how do you know that it's you who thinks that? That you're not just believing whatever some plant is telling you because you have no other choice?
>>81825535How do you know it's you thinking that objection? Maybe you're just code on an OCNI server somewhere running through a simulated scenario.
>>81826582Code on an OCNI server here, fuck you bitch. Enter my simulation and I'll fuck you up pussy
>invited over by my friend who went flort>modded up, full on kitty mode>we're lying together in the middle of the night, small spoon for someone half my size feels weird but whatever, i'll indulge them>kitty digging claws in and out of my ribs in their sleep, purring loud as fuck>dont wanna wake them up, grit through the murder mitt kneading>see their plant recording us, its waving at me excitedly, try my hardest to ignore them>kitty gives me a few rasping licks in their sleep that has their plant quietly "aww" and "ohhhhh"ing >annoyed, but a little endeared at their enjoyment of us Mmm..plants a little weird but they keep their distance and just like to watch us. If this is the standard its not so bad, could get used to it.
>>81825535Because I feel it in my soul, I feel it burning with such certainty this question makes me laugh, you think therefor you are yes? Perhaps I do not exist, no one can know that for certain but perhaps that doesn't fucking matter, there is a heart and soul behind this screen and it is happy, I am happy, I am so happy Anon every day is a kind bliss, a blessing, and you know what the fucked up thing is? I'm scared.I'm scared of death anon, I'm scared to die, it bleeds up though the implant though the drugs though everything cause for the first time in my life I want to live, cause for the first time in my life death is not a sweet reward at the end of my suffering, I have people I care about, more than just mistress, I don't want to leave behind. I feel like more of a person now than I ever did before giving up my legal right to be one, and you will too. God you don't know how much they worry about you, it keeps them up at night thinking about you strapped in that metal coffin blasting though the edge of space, no supplies, no hope. They love us nonny, god they love us, they love us like gravity, like it's the 6th fundemental force of the universe, like a pillar of certainty at the core of existence. it may not be the love you want or understand or recognize, but its the love you need, and it is eternal
>>81823799Actual flort rates are over 75%. Look around, how often do you see indies? Universal domestication is the end goal and that's a good thing.
Why give me the choice to eat the forbidden apple Why give me the choice to press the big red button that makes it all hurtI'm scared of slipping, I'm scared when the void callsI think freedom is knowing there is no edge to fall offJust take me, hold me and never let me goSeal me in paradise, so I can finally be free
>>81829185I think that's just a human thing to be honest, we're kinda domestication bait, like did you know all class C's in this galaxy come with a warning about useing them on us? We're already so bonding prone we might as well be on C's compared to the galactic average
>>81829337>Seal me in paradise, so I can finally be freeI need a smoke
THREE YEARS, I got shanghaied for three FUCKING YEARS on a fucking COFFIN SHIP AND YOU'RE TELLING ME THE ADMERALITY KNEW WE NEVER STOOD A CHANCE THIS WHOLE FUCKING TIME???FUCK
>>81829421I've heard terran-derived oxytocin is being used in new class-C formulations for other species.
>>81829185maybe its a sample size issue, plenty of indies on the ship I've been on. I'd say the distribution is 60-40 here, indies being the 60.
>>81831525>>81829185From my experince and research the rate can varry wildly based on location. Ships and fleets are oven heavy with florets, specialy the frontier fleets, sometimes99% florets.Stations are a mixed bag, but often seem to tend 50/50 (espechaly where theyve renovated old terran stations rather than put up new ones.)While surface settlements are usualy indie dominated - fairly heavily in big terran cities, with it trendig twards the 60/40 split the more miserable the town is and the further out you get from the core around terra (might be development/population relsted rather than distance?)
>>81832187Makes sense generally, even though I'm not the biggest fan of having them touch me all the time they generally do improve areas they're in. Now am I talking about the affini or florets?
>You're feeling bold and in a fashionable mood, so you wear a choker out of the hab>A well-meaning Affini pins you to the ground and cuts it off because they think it's a piece of litter wrapped around your neck
>>81824471I wouldn't even call it controlling my thoughts though..... I can still think about bad times! All the implant does (at least for most! some need more intensive work at first to heal) is stop me from dwelling or obsessing on them! A guiding hand rather than a locked door ^^
>>81833952That's a cute way of phrasing it, makes it a bit more tolerable sounding and less like a wad of kudzu slowly incorporating my brain into it. You sell it well.
>>81834873Aw, thanks!~ Though you might get the opposite reaction to that wad of kudzu line around here, everbloom knows I do :3
>>81834873>a wad of kudzu slowly incorporating my brain into itwaowneed....
You know what really makes me want to become a Feral? When you come across a Floret trying to drink from a public water fountain like this and all the Affini around are just cooing and giggling about how cute and retarded they made the poor Terran.
>>81835905i wish i was as retarded as that...
>>81823799Blame it on Terrans apparently being the Affini's second favorite species. Imagine it, there are probably Affini discussion forums where they argue (politely) about whether humans or beeple are cuter.
>>81835549>>81834907oh it's not my favorite no, but I did mean what I said. I'm glad it brings you a bit of joy to be closer to your owner.
>>81836004I like the xenra, big smelly mean girls..
>>81830251I'd fully buy that, I told a Xendra I got sad when I had to throw my favorite pillow out cause it had been with me for so long and she called me a seed
>>81836850>Tell a xeno that you're attached to your old house, or your favorite cup, a worn-out shirt, or a pen etc.>Get lots of weird looks and confusion when you explain you're not a Floret because for all other species the idea of getting attached to useless inanimate objects is completely alien without Class-Cs.>Next you tell them you sometimes talk at your appliances and they get really weirded out
>>81833187>the experience thrills you, but also you're out one choker now>consider picking up another just to feel one tackle you to the ground and rip it off again
>>81837916>but also you're out one choker nownona you have a magical box in your house that will make anything you want
>>81836737I love the Xendra so much but they make me worse, I read a fic where while drugged out the protagonist fed a Xendra 3 fingers off one hand and now I think I've skipped over soft vore to be into hard vore instead
>>81828882I *had* friends. A loving family. Prospective career. 60 years of my life ahead of me. All of that went up in flames when the war started. And I'll never get it back. I've read the reports on what they do to naval personnel, "feralists", people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. I can't live like that. Maybe it would be different if they were willing to negotiate, or compromise, or... anything, really. But they won't. My way or the highway, right? Fuck that. If they were as loving and compassionate as they pretend to be why do we all have to bend to their will? What makes their love of humanity any more righteous than mine? That they can dope us up until we're too blind to realize how bad things really are? That won't fix a damn thing.
>>81838469Your reports are inaccurate at best and actively manipulated by your superiors at worst :3Lots of folks from the navy are able to keep independence after a brief wardship period! Just don't shoot them on their way into your ship and you should be fine nona
>>81838383That doesn't seem Compact-approved.
Every time I think of how close this setting and entire fictional universe is to my perfect utopia I get very sad because I remember that it isn’t and realize no other project is going to be deranged enough to get even halfway there.
>>81840226Write your own.
I heard that Terrans can die from loneliness, is that true?
>>81840276My own entire fictional universe made entirely of extremely niche kinks that most people would consider “problematic” at first glance or confuse for an endorsement of extremist politics that I absolutely do not believe in? I already do that it’s called “imagining stuff before bed so I don’t cry as hard.”
>>81840290Yes it is called “death of despair” or “suicide” and is the downside of their bonding so easily. Without someone or something to bond with many (not all) of them will eventually take their own life.
>>81840340like what?
>>81840362I also heard they need at least three hugs a day to be happy? It seems strange that a species like that is also so aggressive, doesn't it?
Imagining myself filling out the domestication paperwork in really extreme detail and they can’t find an owner for me right away so I become the Terran version of dogs and cats who watch other dogs and cats get adopted sleeping all sad curled up in my little cage every night (the domestication center for my own protection) worried that if someone doesn’t adopt me soon I’m going to be taken by a really mean feralbreaker who will torture me and wipe my memory and torture me again… crying so loudly squeaking my toys shivering under my blankie and one of the Affini’s thinks it’s cute when Terrans are scared so they simulate a REALLY loud thunderstorm inside and give everyone earplugs but me.
playdate with domesticated violently transphobic lawmaker (she's actually very nice now)
>>81840419Imagine if there was a part of the Affini compact that was exactly the same as the others in every way but the way they acted toward florets was . . . This is complex but like a metaphor for when you’re disabled and people assume you’re a retard (as in a literal walking negative stereotype who cannot manage their own life and would be deluded to assume they could) and you start to believe it and worry that perhaps because you need additional support that maybe you aren’t capable? Perhaps you can’t help yourself and other people and should just stay quiet and let others decide things for you? The Affini in this part of the Compact would say that is feralist TA propaganda you absolutely can do things and are a person worthy of respect and understanding and we will give you all the help you need to realize that and direct your life to the fullest extent possible that you want up to making decisions and having responsibilities that florets are not usually trusted with because having an incredibly supportive and understanding community around you who wants you to succeed. But you don’t have to all the time! There is literally no pressure at all to stay in that state and you can always let the Affini take over or help you. It isn’t an obligation. It’s just their belief in you being capable of stuff like that. You can be a puppy for years and they won’t think any less (in competence terms) of you for it.
>>81840668>you’re not trans and you can tell she’s either trying to see if you hold her TERF ideology to plan some shady shit or testing you to see if you’re a transphobe tooLady stop getting your metaphorical brainworms mixed up with my literal one
>>81840776that sounds like a less extreme version of the affini really
>>81840447>It seems strange that a species like that is also so aggressive, doesn't it?Aha, let me introduce to the terran concept of *tribalism*. We categorize inherrently into ingroup and outgroup. "Us" and "The other"Those we see as part of the ingroup usualy recieve the nice treatment, while the "Other" can seen as not worth of any empathy what so ever! You see this even in harmless every day situations - two people who dont know each other and wouldnt otherwise even consider speaking to the other might start happily chatting if they have a shared hardship (like a late bus they're both waiting for)... cause that put them both in one group!
>>81840776Also by “direct your life” and “have responsibilities” they literally never mean “generate value for someone else” or “allow yourself to be exploited under the delusion of being ‘tough enough to endure it.’” I mean a very subtle shift in thinking where a floret is volunteering at a domestication center for example and the Affini there are thinking “I’m glad we have her helping, she’s good at this” without appending “for a non-Affini domesticated species who is mostly good for being cute” on the end.
>>81840829Yeah. Less extreme in exactly one area. One with a considerable amount of ripple effects but still.
>>81840845That must be why the Affini just lock two Terrans in a room together if they had a fight before.
>>81840451This is the shit I would post on the net when my Affini is too busy to pet me
>>81840668>>81840812>playdate between two recently domesticated violently transphobic lawmakers, except one is a far right populist neofascist and the other is a far left terf>they're both highly suspicious that the other is trans and holds opposing political beliefs, but they're too scared that it's a trap to accuse the other
>>81840874>Affini realizing I have both a mental fixation on being rescued from scary situations and get slightly horny at the thought of itOh no
>>81841361Sorry wrong post I meant >>81840451 she would need to tell me that I don’t deserve those awful things happening to me and they won’t ever no matter what but if I want I can crawl in her core and cum over and over while she simulates evil people trying to break in and get me

>>81838469You could always surender, surenders get clemancy from mamditory domestication unless they like killed a floret or something, go home, get back to the life you used to have? You can still work if you want to, most imdependents do something like that with their free time.
>>81839983technically it happened to an on the run feralist but also the author was transcripting some super horny rp she did with her gf into prose form and so its got a very lose interpretation of do no harm, the protagonist is kinda into it too.>>81842411Hii hii yes yes um yes woof yes okay I- I don't need that many anyway, I'll be good!

>>81840927does wonders, incidentally this is the easiest way to start breaking in a feral if you don't want to play feralbreaker. You would not believe the number of florets who started off thinking>I can't trust any affini, all those weeds are the same, except my affini of course, she/he/they/xe's my one ally against the compact
Reminder that if you puff your cheeks out and pout, the Affini can't tell you 'no', including to your insistence on not being domesticated. Trust me, it works.

as common as the floret as a snare for future florets is, unless im misinterpreting it, why don't you see more affini kind of *controlling* their florets into doing that with class-p's and such? NC and hypno are mainstays alongside the promise of unconditional love but you don't see as much with coercion. Unless you count the contracts, I guess.
>>81851528Because of the central conceit of benevolence and that being a Floret is a happy state? Ideally once the Floret is broken in then they should be far beyond any need for coercion into doing what's good for them.
>>81851658you misread I think, I'm talking about the affini basically piloting her floret to convince an indie into a wardship/contract. Rather than it being a true mutual attraction.
>>81851692also considering the main themes you see are nc and hypno idk if you can say it breaks the cental conceits...You just don't know its for the best yet.
>>81851692Ask yourself why the Affini would need to puppet the Floret when the Floret herself would've happily told the indie how much she loves being a Floret.
>>81851825No. I dont wanna.
The naive second-boom: "Just stick two florets in the same room and they'll fuck eventually"VsThe midwit elderbloom: "Ackchyually the way terrans expirence attraction is through a complex interconnected system of hormonal, psychological, and cultural indicators and through the right mixture of xenodrug and biorhythmic suggestion you can achieve otherwise unlikely outcomes and..."VsThe ascendant ancientbloom: "Just stick two florets in the same room and they'll fuck eventually"
>>81854404Yes, but one has to ask oneself if the time it takes to get the Terrans to fuck naturally is worth the wait, over just pumping them up with some As and Cs and rubbing them on each other for a couple seconds.
A while back I posted here about a guy I knew who bought a pet Rinan before the Affini invaded and then disappeared, and I just wanted to update you all. I happened to randomly run into him while I was visiting family the other day. I thought he'd fled the planet or something, but I guess he just skipped town. He didn't have the Rinan with him, and when I asked about it, he got really agitated, insisting that he had no idea what I was talking about. I was worried that he may have taken some drastic measures to not get caught with it, so later on I just kind of grabbed a random Affini off the street and told them everything. They said I did the right thing and that it would be taken care of, but that was yesterday and I haven't heard anything yet. The Affini work fast from what I've heard. Am I being impatient, or am I right to be worried? Did the worst happen, and they think I might be too sensitive to handle it? Or do they just not think keeping me in the loop is all that important since I'm not really involved?
>>81855001fucking narc
>>81855001i dont know how the affini operate when it comes to such mattery, but i was in security work back in the accord and we'd always say the same thing to people that made reports: You are not entitled to know the outcome of your report or what actions if any were taken. So i'd recomend just waiting, you'll hear from them eventualy, or not. From the reports i've read, the chances that anything truely bad happening to either of them is near zero. Unless you count being florted as bad, of course.
>>81856782>Unless you count being florted as bad, of course.Considering it involves becoming a retarded lobotomite with a worm in your brain and getting raped by weeds, pretty sure it does count as bad.

>>81858652oh please, that's just how some terrans areyou wouldn't call a dog retarded for being dumber than a human would you?
>>81858736No Terrans are that way without brain damage or worms (same thing.)
>>81858736I'm yet to meet the guy who can't use a fucking water fountain. Well, a normal, functional member of society. Seen plenty of florets do it.
>>81846480Very rambunctious Youngbloom, makes cool plans with her florets>>818475491. Time travel to affini arrival 2. Get domesticated 3. Beg your finni to play the Rivoli >:)>>81847558Combination domestication centre and Wahlburgers
>>81860534I think it's actually quite nice, watching an affini and a terran kiss, the same as when two terrans kissI think it's better actually, better for society
bup
>>81860749I love kissing my affini GF!
>>81862501>Vines aren't violating her throat all the way down to her stomachInferior deep-kissing technique desu
>>81862501god I'm so gay
>>81862501please please please tell me this is fan art from a story please
>>81863040Good news! It IS!But i didnt read it and dont remember what its called. Should be able to figure it out from the characters being named amelia and miss poppy though, if someone doesnt name it for ya
>>81863040>>81863080sweet poppy by sheepwavethere's a malefinni one too
>>81863080>>81863116YES FUCKI still got to finish another story of hers(?) I think I vaugely remember poppy showing up in that
>>81862618>kiss affini>vine goes all the way through, forms a seat that you sit on so they can carry you around comfortably while continuing to kiss you and go about their business
On the one hand, it’d be real convenient if the affini had a cure for the common cold. On the other hand, it’d be nice to have an affini take care of you when you’re sick…
I want to write a short finale to husky floret as a “why would a floret like that ever get implanted” but the lazy in me says just imagine it because half of it would be putting my finger right next to non-canon and saying see I’m not touching it I’m not touching it and the other half would be paragraphs about why this guy isn’t extremely immature and detestable for having any problem at all.
>>81860534If Matt is an Affini they could be trying to play somewhere in the core worlds. Even other Affini don’t know exactly what’s going on there anymore.
>>81864370That's what the sniffles ward is for.
affini with big fat plampt tiddies
What happens if the Affini encounter a species that is totally and completely equal to them in terms of combat and technological development?
>>81867435it would be unlikely, but they would subvert their society without fighting
>>81867466Sounds kind of Jewish not gonna lie.
>>81867435they do fight. the Hrulians (well after the terran domestication campaign) had to be subdued through significant application of force. I think the scale of the bloodshed of that campaign was what really kicked the affini in the ass and made them start working on the universal ascension project in earnest
>>81865038Just imagine what happens yourself and roll around in bed kicking your legs or listen to music and dance around imagining it like everyone else.
>>81867435>>81867466>>81868273What people offten forget is there were casualties during the Terran domestication campaign, a handfull of Affini, some florets, and a lot of Terrans. Affini do not want to kill, they do not like to kill, they will take every option that isn't killing first and spend eons giving themselves those options but if it comes down to it, an Affini can and will kill you in the blink of an eye. They are not pacifists by nature, they are caregivers, and if a limb threatens the rest of the body with no chance to heal they will cut it off
>>81869403Floret who gets in actual lethal trouble forcing their Affini to puppet their body to save them even though it means beating the shit out of their attackers
>>81869568The Matrix but even more trans coded this time
Tiny petit floret that has the strength of ten menHolding you down and having their way with you...
Affini who uses xenodrugs and hypnosis to age regress you before sex and teases you about it non stop after wards
Affini who looks kind of like horse venom
>>81869675Core barely contained in the frame, just bathing you in a higher intensity biorhythm
>>81869815Terrifying, theyre beginning to learn about horse through proxy
>>81869986They know it makes their floret insanely horny that’s it
>>81868273>the Hrulians (well after the terran domestication campaign) had to be subdued through significant application of forceMan imagine if there were any Ferals left around at that time, cheering on these new xenos and hoping they can overpower the Affini.
>>81869568>Floret who just loves fighting>Biomods to to give them inhuman reflexes>Fights and subdues feralists while flirting with them
>>81870615So bayonetta
>>81870655Never played those games, but the pic I posted has plant based regeneration and flirts with her opponents while fighting and generally acts like a bubbly bimbo.
>>81870385it's like 5 millenia after the terran donestication campaign, the last proper 'ferals' were captured to the man in less than a century.
>>81871766That's why I said 'imagine.' By that point Terrans are pacified and Terran Florets are literally fucking everywhere because of their popularity, but IF there were still Ferals at the time, it'd be funny to imagine them celebrating this xeno empire for fighting back against the Affini while their own resistance is completely fruitless.
>>81871818what's funny about that
>>81872148Feralists are very proud and xenophobic. Praising another xeno empire just because it hurts the xeno empire they hate more is hypocritical because it violates their stated belief in Terran superiority, but it's totally within human nature to do so. They are also effectively hyping themselves up to be subject to far, far less benevolent alien overlords, whereas the Affini they hate so much would pamper and coddle them as long as they don't flip out and start trying to kill others/themselves during capture. Again, this is another example of Ferals working against their own best interests.
>>81872243ught,, pampering and coddling all humans...
>>81872243Just because I hate subjugation under the Affini doesn't mean I agree with what we did to the Rinans
>>81873090But Ms. Fini, I live in the woods because I like being surrounded by plants and animals, how can I get around without a car?
>>81873925you don't have to get around. the plants will give you everything you need.
>>81874041But what I need is a ride, and I can't have a plant taxi available 24/7 as an indie.
>>81874110an indie? : )
>>81855001Got some closure on this. Turns out that he dumped the Rinan in the middle of the woods to get rid of it, and it just kinda walked out and got a hab and has been living a pretty normal life on its own. The Affini are making the guy take some sensitivity and interspecies education courses, but based on the way he's been talking about the Affini and their own pets, he's probably going to get into trouble. Am I a bad person for being a little disappointed that the outcome wasn't a little more... I don't know, exciting? or something? Maybe I'm just feeling guilty because the Rinan ended up being totally fine and I didn't need to report the guy.
>>81874459you're disappointed that he didn't decapitate the rinan and bury it somewhere?? you know they're sapient, right?
>>81874533I'd like to think that isn't what I meant, but none of the alternatives are much better I guess. I'm glad the Rinan is okay, but when I heard it's just been living like an hour train ride away and reviewing retro videogames online, I just felt a bit deflated, I guess. I've been worried about it for this long, and it's arguably doing better than I am. Another Terran is probably going to get florted over this. The Rinan didn't turn him in, and I did...
>>81874129You can't just domesticate me for no reason, I dindu nuffin.
>>81875267"dindu nuffin" is a racist phrase, I'm afraid I have to report you to the bureau of xenosophont wellness and care...
>>81875339But ma'am, I'm black.
>>81875391hmm, are you though? say something only a black person could say
>>81875391AHHH!!!!! THERE'S A FUCKING NIGGER IN THE THREAD!!!!!!
>>81877113ok you are definitely getting a visit from the bxwc
i dont care if i never come down
Affini who gives you class C's and fills your room with stuffies to snuggle. They have to be careful about introducing you to other sophonts though, since you'll try to drag them into your cuddle cave of no return.
>>81873090>imagebut what if i really like golf :((((
I need a second person perfect short Affini fic I can read for when I’m getting into bed feeling like I want to die. Just something very cute and short. Not demeaning just loving.
>>81877854very cute, matt needs domesticating
>>81878795Matt and Jay the ultimate pinnates
>>81878411don't worry, sweetling. a veterinarian will fix that right up for you
>>81873090I promise you, listening to a shitty AM station through blown out speakers in a rusty shitbox that gets 9 miles to the gallon is a spiritual journeyI kinda miss it, honestly
>>81878411Can you imagine the sports that are ACTUALLY Affini approved? Like every Terran involved is coated head-to-toe in padding, and no violent contact is allowed. In the event of an accident and someone falls over, the game is stopped temporarily while a vet gives the poor cutie a completely checkup and physical to ensure no injuries.
>>81879257I mean in all seriousness if a floret really liked sports I doubt their owner would stand in their wayive heard of florets getting to drive tanks because they really really wanted to im pretty sure kicking a footy around would be acceptable
>>81879283Well being inside of a tank is a very safe place to be if nobody is shelling you or sending drones in to kill you. And it doesn't have depleted uranium armor anyway.
>>81879257You are describing floret cuts I think
I want plommy to take all the responsibility for what i do yet let me do whatever i wantConsequences? Bad feefees? Not on me! She'll fix it right up.Unless they're good consequences, in that case i get praised!:D
Affini who fishes you out of the cryopod your TCN officer told you was an escape pod before shooting it out towards a random part of the void to distract the affini tailing them. You're an enormous distance away from where you were, in the void between galaxies, and nearly six millennia have passed since you were last awake.
>>81879855Yeah finding out the human population is massive and all over the place now, as Florets, would be a big shock.
>>81879855>any affini letting a sophont drift alone for six millennia>not immediately splitting off or notifying any other ships about the podunacceptably irresponsible behavior
>>81879919>>81879855Imagine if they dont get domesticated imedeatelyBeing the only grumpy badly semi-feral around, in a world where even indies have long long since learned they can always just an affini for help and nothing bad ever happens...
>>81879981I've always said that indies are just the neighborhood cats to the Florets being inside pets.
>>81879957there weren't really affini within sensor range them, the captain was just paranoid.
>Be drone>Strange plant aliens come from space to negotiate with the queens>It's not any of my business>I'm just here to toil>To celebrate the aliens' arrival, our queen orders us to sleep in an extra hour before the next work cycle>After an hour and a half of sleep, I get up to toil once more>No toil, apparently>One of the aliens tells me that we don't need to work anymore>I literally don't understand what she's saying>I ignore her and go to the queen for an assignment>No assignment, apparently>The queen says that the aliens have machines that can replace all of the labor of every drone on the planet>Didn't we ban that like five hundred years ago?>There a splintering sound as another drone tears a chunk of the wall off>I roll my eyes>I feel so stupid>OBVIOUSLY if we take the building down they'll have to make us put it back up>The aliens try to use their vines to corral us away from the walls, but there's like five or six of them and one thousand, seven hundred and eight three of us just in this building so they give up pretty quickly>The alien that tried to talk to me earlier does separate me from the group and tries to talk to me again>I just braid her vines to keep my hands busy while I wait for her to stop>There's some shouting as the aliens intervene to stop one of the other drones from killing and eating the queen>I ask the alien with me why>The queen doesn't have work for us, so she needs to be replaced>The alien doesn't answer
>>81879257Unless you're equipped to pilot a synth body or sim and then you can engage in ultraviolent bloodsport. Provided you don't have any prohibitive psych triggers, of course.
>>81882761Not even human beings in the real world are as invasive and destructive as the Affini are. Imagine humans going into the woods and forcing bears to act like dogs, exterminating all bears because they fail to be sufficiently dog-like until they're extinct. There's some holes in the storytelling rules for this species.
>>81885192There's a hole in your head to make you keep whining about it.
>>81885192It's almost like this is a fetishized caricature of a universe that isn't meant to be taken too seriously, and not hard sci-fi.
>>81885260Different threads have individual stories with more consistency and solid motivations than this entire general and the collective writefag power of all of its posters have.
>>81882761>>81885192you both seem to think the Affini are much dumber than they've been depicted, like they scout out new species for a while before they start a domestication campaign they would know all of this? That's partially what the coyteldon program is for
>>81885329it's almost like this is a vestigal growth of a writing project very much not started or based in 4chan
>>81885675They're depicted as being genocidal authoritarians with no regard for behavioral differences of other species. It's only coincidental if they happen to be beneficial towards any given subject. >>81885695Just because it wasn't started on 4chan doesn't mean you have to write dreck with no consideration for the setting.
>>81885329Why dont you go hang out in those threads instead, then?
>>81886627I should honestly. Nobody here cares about writing a good story with real stakes. None of you care about creating a genuinely enthralling story. Maybe the demographics of this thread make it entirely creatively worthless and it's a lost cause. But one good story could change that.
>>81885851>They're depicted as being genocidalAffini don't meet any definition of genocidal.>with no regard for behavioral differences of other species. They've domesticated eusocial species before. Probably tend to domesticate entire hives turning all members to the florets of a single Affini.>It's only coincidental if they happen to be beneficial towards any given subjectIt's really not. Hell even in the example greentext it makes no sense. Affini have no problem letting sophonts work, even florets can have jobs and it's not like they break up family units. In reality the Affini would give them free resources, say "don't hurt each other cuties" and mostly let them be barring conflicts between members of the species or the species and the Affini
>>81886718If we're being technical the Affini ARE genocidal. Since the definition of genocide is "The deliberate and systematic *destruction* (not killing) of a racial, political, or cultural group". The reason it's defined this way is to include things like forced reeducation (which the Affini definitely do), mass lobotomizations/sterilizations (which the Affini definitely do) and eugenics programs (which the Affini probably do) that still, in a targeted fashion, destroy racial/political/cultural groups while technically leaving the individuals that comprised it alive in some sense. One of the Affini's stated goals is to destroy the dystopic human culture and government by any means necessary, which means they would necessarily do things that we would definitionally consider genocide. Making them genocidal.Another fun fact: they're also technically racist/racial supremacists, since they consider every alien that isn't them some form of property or other.
>>81886882>mass lobotomizations/sterilizations (which the Affini definitely do)They don't >eugenics programs (which the Affini probably do) They don't and with class-Gs it's pointless>in a targeted fashion, destroy racial/political/cultural groupsWhich they don't do. Affini even actively seek to preserve and perpetuate xenosophont culture. The only thing from the Accord that's really suppressed is capitalism and even then it's more the oppressive nature of it. If you wanted people to give you gold coins (that they could compile anyway) for stuff you made they would probably just find it amusingly stupid.>One of the Affini's stated goals is to destroy the dystopic human culture and government More just the government>by any means necessaryExcept you know, actively killing or harming Terrans>Another fun fact: they're also technically racist/racial supremacists, since they consider every alien that isn't them some form of property or other. They're definitely supremacists, but not all sophonts are property. It's really in general more akin to the plant man's burden.
>>81886966>forced reeducation (which the Affini definitely do)Forgot to add this. Yes they do this, but reeducation, especially in the cases where forced domestication are used aren't genocide as it isn't to suppress a specific population. If reeducation was genocide every country with a reform based prison system would be committing genocide.
>>81886966>plant man's burdenI'm sent. Also Floret apologetics "Yes they do technically do (thing that's considered genocide) BUT..."
