>>81874819>Give us your pitch for a GOOD Monster Hunter movie.>ancient civilization creates a monster that can transfer souls to newly conceived beings in an attempt to "capture elder dragons">project succeeds and children are created with the souls of elder dragons. children exhibit drastic increase in everstream energy flow with limited control over the energy>this invites fatalis-level disasters that ultimately destroy the ancient civilization. the monster and children are saved in ancient devices but their wyverian "father" seals himself in a room and commits suicide via poisoning>millennia later a group sets out to discover the source of meatshrooms and stumbles upon the room, realizing meatshrooms came from an ancient corpse. the devices containing the souls are accidentally opened and the souls slip into the group's members unnoticed>a few centuries later, plot focuses on an unnamed orphaned boy sitting alone under a tree looking out at the village who is too focused on hunter training to notice>he does this every day>village elder pulls him into hunter training to get him to socialize in spite of his refusal due to not liking the prospect of harming monsters>kid is given the name of Orein and turns out to be very skilled with dual blades>grows up being one of the village's top hunters, known for capture/repel only>one hunt he stumbles upon a nest filled with eggs and takes one>along the way back to the village the egg hatches. its a tigrex hatchling>Orein convinces the village to raise the hatchling until it is old enough to hunt on its own>the hatchling grows to adolescent within a few years but ends up being attached to the village>they try leaving the tigrex way out in the wilderness one hunt so he can get reacclimated to his natural environment>instead the tigrex returns to the village with a large aptinoth to share. he isn't leaving so Orein names him Hien1/3
>>81875936>years later when the tigrex is an adult, the village gets word of a violent gore magala within proximity of the village's mountainous region Orein and 3 others leave to take it out>the hunt does not go well and the gore draws closer to the village every hour. the hunters are getting too battered to fight well>Hien appears out of nowhere and battles the gore magala viciously and successfully scares it off, but also got infected with the frenzy virus in the process>Hien dies in Orein's arms shortly after as the gentle giant has no aggressive bone in his body with which to even partially fight off the virus>Orein loses it in rage and sorrow which forces the flow of everstream in and around his body to become dense and produce a corporeal visage of a Kushala Daora>he flies into the sky and divebombs the gore magala, spending the next hour thrashing and tearing the gore apart until his rage hits a climax and liquifies the gore with an intense tornado>three days later Orein returns to the village alone emotionally dead. everyone can feel the still air around him. he spends the next week starving himself and wasting away in the corner of his home. he didn't feel human nor any human connection to anyone anymore. his palico chefs eventually quit due to contagious depression>the village tries to talk him out of his depression but he snaps at them and tells them Orein is dead, the only reason he hunted was so the village could notice him, Hien was the only one who loved him unconditionally and then blamed the village for his death2/3

I like monsters that use parts of their body's as weapons like primordial malzeno being able to use a lance moveset with his wings acting as both a shield and a sword, nargacuga and its tail spikes as a mace and the wingarms as slashing weapons, velkhana and her tail as a rapier, glavenus as a greatsword and acidic glavenus acting more of a longsword, bolt reaver astalos channeling his electricity to essentially make the biggest great sword, arkveld using her chains as whips, rey dau being a railgun, etc just some cool concepts for monsters that I feel make them standout from the rest

Thanks anons.I've been pondering over what I want to set as my big summer project, and I finally landed on a concept that I feel really good about.The tl;dr is that it's a short comedy thing focused on a hunter who is new to the region. The hunter wants to pair up with a Seikret of his own, and after being told some BS by the local villagers about how it's the Seikret who chooses their rider, etc, he finds himself wandering over to where the Seikrets are.In this setting, the Seikrets are sapient and can speak normally, so upon noticing the new hunter(read: fresh meat), here comes four female Seikrets excitedly running up to meet and greet, each with a different personality, and who promptly dive into prattling off reasons why they should be chosen over the other three, because all four of them are desperate to be paired up with their own hunter.Needless to say, this quickly turns into arguments amongst the Seikrets, and then the situation degrades as the poor hunter finds himself trapped in a four way catfight between the females, finding out that they're probably stronger than him as he proceeds to get pushed, pulled and knocked around onto the ground, accidentally stepped on, sat on, tail whipped, and other similar actions.In the end, he's rolled out on a cart.I want to do it; I think it would be great. Again, it's framed as comedy and meant to be funny, but I'm sure there's more than one of you anons who would be having some GIWTWM feels. You would love a feisty Seikret to step and/or sit on you, wouldn't you?

>>81930590Ima spitball a script about this. The skit should be very GIWTWM focused at the start, then devolve into a Looney Tunes episode when the girls start bickering. In the beginning, have the hunter exploring the Windward Plain, recalling what the villagers said about Seikrets (as you said) via flashbacks. During his exploring, have each Seikret introduced themselves, giving each Seikret time at the spotlight to show their personalities, insert GIWTWM feels here. After the introductions, the Seikrets will know each others intentions of claiming the hunter, and start bickering towards each other. The skit will then devolve into Looney Tunes tomfoolery, with the Seikrets fighting each other with the hunter trapped within (as you said). Insert many goofy SFXs, with the situation turning into a Looney Tunes fight cloud with Seikret/Hunter appendages poking out, pic related. During this, your Palico comes back from gathering, notices the fight cloud and fires a SOS flare. The rescue Palicos swipe the hunter and cart him away, the Seikret fight cloud still going on minus the hunter. To keep things simple, have the entire skit take place in one area, and everyone having their default looks. Using body posture and/or facial expressions to differentiate the Seikrets. You should determine the overall direction of the project, as I have no talent in making art in this fashion, but I love spitballing ideas.
