The community as it exists today doesn’t need DH00 action or EMH lore. We need the missing human spark, and redredhat definitely delivers on making both Carmen and her relationship feel human. She has aspirations, flaws, and she can experience emotions other than fear of, or anger at, the Slender Man. It’s doing things very differently and I commend it for that. Obviously it’s crossover central which isn’t really my thing per se, but it’s still refreshing to see a protagonist who acts like a normal person.
