I thought of another famous post-apocalyptic location Walks could visit for the selfie world tour. She can't stay long, though; she's double-parked.Wouldn't want to make the locals mad ....---The reference images for this one required some planning. First, I composited together a background plate of the tunnel entrance from the film, and postworked most of the traffic out. Then I took several screenshots of the welcome sign from the establishing tracking shot, and fed those into both Nano Banana and Seedream with the following instructions:>Reconstruct the entire Bartertown sign and supporting metal framework from the reference images, and isolate them against a blank background.That worked out far better than I could have expected. Models that exist today are much better. I was just testing the tech by throwing in random waifus to see what I got. There were a lot of problems and models were open in places which makes it impossible to 3D print them.The models that exist today have solved most of these problems. The step after models were textures and those are really good today. Next is retopology (the wireframe that makes a 3d model. It needs to be made in a certain way for animations to work. Quads is best (square faces), triangles cause problems, ngons (more than 4 vertices) completely break the model for animation.You can learn to turn images to 3D and then fix them with Blender in 2-3 days. It's not that hard if you understand how 3D models work.Once you are happy with the model you throw it into the 3D printing software. The programs today will create supports if needed. It's smart to split the model up into pieces and is required depending on the model.Then comes the question: Plastic or Resin?Resin printers offer FAR superior quality. Almost as good as injection molding.Plastic printers offer more flexibility but the resolution isn't as good, you get the small layer ridges. Some people spray some acetone into a bucket and put the model in there.
