shows like You and I Are Polar Opposites are my guilty pleasure junk food. Pretty solid 7 or 8/10 shows. Nowhere near as insufferable as something like snafu or bunnygirl senpai but it definitely does the whole "teenagers with psychologist levels of self awareness and ability to clearly communicate all their feelings". It only gets away with it because the characters are all likeable and otherwise well written
Reminiscing about Jeepers Creepers and when you think about it, it's pretty dumb that they had to cut the torture screams at the end because viewers were feeling uncomfortable about it, that's the whole point of horror movies is it not?? People say newer horror stuff like Stranger Things just wants to make everyone feel validated about liking scary stuff but these changes were happening way before. At least they didn't ruin the Absolute Cinema ending shot. Pure kinography as kids would say. The directors past and the fact that they let him direct anything after Clownhouse is the true horror.
