Most platforms banned cubs ages ago, then many platforms banned ferals too, lately some platforms even banned humans with anthros, it's clear that the intention was always to censor more and more stuff, and it doesn't look like they ever wanted to stop because the line of what's unacceptable keeps moving.It's quite possible that they thought that maybe they were wasting their time, if they ban one of the tamest artists and nobody complains, it's clear that they can just ban everything at once instead of playing this game of banning just a bit of stuff every time.
