The game is constantly running RNG background rolls, marking and triggering event flags, and a bunch of other shit so there's a lot of opportunities where shit happens during runs that you won't ever see repeated on repeat playthroughs, and certain choices can influence what does or does not happen. There's a couple of things, i think the dev experiments as he goes along and rolls with punches, i refuse to believe Walter was intended to be what he ended up, but rather that the writing is rolling with the punches with the realization he acted unfathomably and not age appropriate as things happened, same thing with the "Gil Damage Control Arc" since the "Pervy Gym Teacher" was fair game when it started. There are also "Character Episodes" that go more into the backstories of the LIs and reveal some shit or puts things into perspective.

To be fair, Nerus is a tough read and therefore a tough sell, i think i have only seen like one LP/Reading of it in the wild that didn't even get past the first arc.

I have read it for the record, First Arc/Prologue was good, Detective Arc sucked and was huge momentum loss even if it later justifed itself, the Timeline Vignette arc was great (and why Detective Arc justified itself), Snake Eater was great as a dark mirror of Nerus story. Devils Gambit has blatantly shared themes and overal vibes to Nerus on a second and closer look, which makes it funny how it is better received by a lot of people overlooking Nerus.

...Beyond the Harbor was kinda, i don't wanna say overrated, but it is shallow?, I want to like it and it has cool ideas and premise (a /x/ hobbyist investigator is looking into a missing person is looking, canonically uses 4chan) and high effort for presentation. But it also feels like it didn't REALLY know what it was doing and was just going for cool supernatural scenes and framings of scenes. But i never really felt i got the opportunity to GET the character compared to say Pervader.

Am I the only one who did not care for soulcreek? I found the art (even of Loken) to be quite ugly and the story kind of lame. I can't put my finger on it but it just felt like it was posturing as horror rather than being it. I was also spoiled on it which may have made things worse.

Everyone's busy getting cucked in Deltatr00n. Tbh Ch3 left me so exhausted (I was forced to replay it multiple times due to how convoluted it was to access the secret boss which had never been the case up that point in neither Undertale or previous Deltarune chapters, the main issue with the way Ch3 handled it being it locks you out of it if you miss certain windows of opportunity) that I couldn't be bothered to play Ch4, just saw a walkthrough on YT. I'll do the same for Ch5, I only care about the story + music and see the gameplay mostly as a hindrance. There's one game which would translate very well into a VN

Thanks anon, Honestly considering the the file being "RememberTheFlowersII", "Part 2", The new Title Screen, Intermission having been renamed "Prologue" and Chapter 1 was only the flashback (I expected it to been inserted to where Lance thinks about Reggie in the intermission) i kinda feel like they are pulling the "Make new executable for new content because we overbloated the first one."

It is surprisingly common, FBTW, Badtime Stories and some othe stuff pulled it.

Shit mostly just seemed to be visual updates for the Intermission itself (I don't think Lance had a mugshot), but it was nice to revisit and see more of the suspect shit about Cooper/Lance again.

I didn't really feel so before but i think the changes makes me more get more why people suspected a Main Character change from Cyrus to Lance and they are pivoting to a "sequel" rather then updating "RtF".

Lots of anons don't feel the same way though, going by the last time I brought the ending of Part 1 up, actually he is going to be a hard sell in general as perception of him is rightfully mixed, not just on /fvn/. For one I respect the author's boldness to pivot the story in a direction that is unpopular to many people. It's the mark of a true artist, most people don't really know what they want, I'm fully aware how much of a smarmy up-my-own-ass elitist twat I sound like but it's my sincerest opinion. Part 1 was great so I'm optimistic Jericho will pull a rabbit out of his hat on this as well.
...Just the cadence of updates worries me the iron could run cold before the project can reach the finish line. I pray he and the rest of the team have been quietly at work and the actual release will be substantial, there's only so much engagement drip feed can retain. Considering what is now the Prologue of Part 2 has come out 1 whole year ago and the project has only had a fraction of Chapter 1 to show for it, it's not looking great

I like Lance, im the type who wants fictional characters to be Interesting and i think Lance is given sufficient explanations to why and how he thinks to make him so. I sometimes feel people act like enjoying fictional characters is the same as dealing with them or dating them IRL.
