Predict how many episodes there are going to be what's going to go down. I feel like they are going to try and make a big setup this volume, have a whole plot centered around the Crown shit, and Rosegarden, and maybe even a slice of life episode. I think it'll be 8 episodes, maybe ten. It'll end on a cliff hanger and flop and that'll be it.

And to be fair, if ViZ is dumb enough to give them a volume 10 I could see them being dumb enough to give them a volume 11 and 12. But with a constrained budget and most likely less episodes they are going to have to condense things and They already invested into setting up these plot points like the Crown thing. They have so much to try and tie off there's no way to do it in one season. They also really think they're great writers remember.

I don't like how Vacuo is just the Generic Desert Kingdom with no real thought into its cultural background or survival strategy. Hell it's not even sci-fi. The whole point of RWBY is that it's supposed to come off as a fantasy setting that has advanced into the modern era and here we are still doing this "Oh they're just a third-world shithole that has sections of their sole city collapse into sinkholes every few months" nonsense. My angle is that they should be masters of desert travel to the point that they operate literal Landships, as a mirror to Atlas's aerial dominance.
I just seriously hope we get a good character designer this time around, I couldn't stand some of the outfits from V7-8...

Genine question, not trolling, and I'd really like some peoples input. How the fuck are they going to do Rosegarden this next volume while doing everything else? Most of the Rosegarden ship is subtext and a few up to interpretation moments and one blush through out the entire series. Even the shippers say it needs more development. So V10 HAS to be the Rosegarden volume if they want this shit to actually feel earned and not an asspull? They'd need Ruby and Oscar tied to the hip this volume. And it's why so many Rosegarden shippers were mand Jaune went into the Ever after and not Oscar, because Oscar needs the development for Rosegarden. They'd have to dedicate a significant chuck of the volume to actually moving this plot forward for it to work, and it already doesn't feel earned because we're on season 10 and they decide now to start actually building a romance for Ruby. Something needs to get dropped. And honestly Rosegarden just seems like such a bad idea in general because of its controversy, overall popularity, and weird place in the narrative. Are they really going to make this shit canon?
