I caught a watch of it with my mom a few weeks ago and its story really highlights how "tropish" it has to be to make it work in just 1 hour verses if a story like that had more depth and nuance if it was a series instead.It can sometimes work when its more self contained as a grand event like Lion King or Into the Spiderverse but something like ToH as a movie only make sense either as a synopsis of the show itself, or during a random event after the finale which just kills future TV show/novel material if handled poorly (see DBSuper Manga). The only other exception I could accept is just Season 3 being turned into a more streamlined movie instead of 3 episode specials.
