I want to go to Farore Island but Ive already been to Iceland. Is it worth the the trip or more of the same?

They are kind of similar but also different. main thing is that it has only very recently been discovered by obnoxious travel vloggers, so the tourist sights aren’t yet crowded and spoiled. But it’s going to happen soon. You can fly there direct from London now.

In the Faroes you basically complete them after you’ve done a couple of hikes and used the subsidised heli / ferry services to visit a few outlying islands (some of these are very remote). Weather can be very bad even in high summer, it’s not as cold as Iceland so the wind rain and fog is worse.

You might also like the outlying islands of Scotland (Shetland / Orkney / Hebrides), which have more going on besides rugged bleak coastline like the Faroes.
