looking for the ultimate place to live on the beach. Im currently in the cold north of europe and looking to go somewhere warm for the winter. Ive previously been to different coastal places in Colombia and Thailand, but considering if there is something similar or better out there. I dont mind simple living conditions as im used to camping in the mountains or sleeping in a hammock.Preffered>"cheap" compared to europe>warm climate>relative safe>cliff jumping>small huts at the beach>good fruits>massages>relaxed atmosphere>starry nightsnot so important>aircondition>pools>clubsMaybe Phillipines, Vietnam or sri lanka is what im looking for. But i hope anyone here has some experience living a simple beach life in a relaxed cheap place. So far my favourites have been Koh Chang in Thailand and Palomino in Colombia (pitcured).
Just move to Spain, Italy, or Greece. Same stupid lazy attitude as people in the tropics
>>2725140You can live for insanely cheap in some island villages in the Philippines. The most annoying part will be renewing your visa, but if you get it done for 6 months at a time you will be set.Start at Palawan and then hop from there until you reach the level of civilization (or lack of it) you are looking for.
>>2728028>insanely cheap Is there infrastructure? Drinkable water and food/drugstores? Internet?
>>2728028>The most annoying part will be renewing your visaWhat the process is like? Can't you just pay someone to get it done without hassle?
>>2728033If there are people there is infrastructure. As I said you can go to smaller and smaller islands until you reach your comfort zone.>>2728038Not from a small beach town, there won't be a visa service there. You would need to take ferries to get back to a city and possibly travel even more to get to an immigration office. That's why I said get it done for 6 months at a time, so you don't need to go on that excursion often.

>>2728054I've heard you can only get 6 months on your 2nd or subsequent renewals.Life in a flip village would be boring as shit IMO, hope you're good at both making friends and setting boundaries for them. There might not be an ATM nearby either.
>>2725140>Maybe Phillipines>aircondition is not so importantYou wont survive 1 hour there bro
>>2725140You can get all of the things you want in Sierra Leone. I would recommend Bureh Beach, just outside of the capital. Please don't tell anyone else-- don't want it to get ruined by tourists.
>>2725140Just go rent a hut on Koh Tao for three months.
>>2731677op here. Thailand in april-may without problems. Try me bitch. Thanks for all the replies. Phillipines are interesting. KohTao and other Thai islands is kind of a no brainer, but why not try something a bit different. Sierra leone might be good, what about el salvador?
>>2732548Madagascar - super cheap, people are chill and some of the most gorgeous beaches I’ve ever seen with hardly any tourists. Barely any English spoken though, mostly French
